Section 7: 2028 Standouts + One 2029

PH NorCal has a promising group of 2028 prospects who'll be entering their second year on Varsity. Some regular contributions, others saw limited action. All will most likely start, or play quality minutes during season. It was a good experience and atmosphere for group at Section 7, for some it was their first. There were some consistency issues, but they'll continue to be key contributors on their team.    NorCals top 2028 plays with passion and energy, he's been on the big stage before. His skill set continues to expand. We're seeing him handle, and attack from all angles on the court, he gets to the paint. The long wiry G/F/W handles, and passes like a guard. He uses his length around the rim for points and rebounds. He looks to have improved range and shooting form putting up 3's in a confident manner. The early morning game we watched he was saddled with 4 fouls before half-time, didn't foul out remained aggressive.     Simmons struggled a bit in the game we watched, good players adjust and bounce back, he did that. He's a big guard that handles, has good court vision to find cutters going towards the basket. He has strength and size to effectively get points in the paint when he moves off ball. He'll get rebounds, and defend multiple position.     Is he a one or two guard? nevertheless he handles himself like an experienced prospect on the court. He mostly worked as the point guard the game we watched. Did well up top showing patience, keeping his dribble live, and moving the ball around the court. He squares up for the 3-point shot which he'll drain if left open too often. He's an excellent defender, good stance, moves his feet.     He's a growing body with long arms, and improved ball handling, using crossovers, and other dribbles to get to his spots, or drive it into the paint. Right now he looks more like an aggressive shooting guard looking for his shots, finding open spots, good rhythm, and form. He drop 3's all over the court. His improving handles adds balance to a rising guard in this class.     The long wing/forward played his way into the rotation of NorCals top team in June. He's got good length, a growing body, stronger than he looks, he moves well on the defensive side of the ball. He's got an improving offensive skill set, a ball mover, we saw him take the corner 3-point shot. Make no mistake he's in the rotation because works hard defending and going after rebounds.     He's a good size wing/forward who played out on the perimeter, reversing the ball, and looking for open 3's before putting on the floor. At 6'5 he's toned his body, has a knack for scoring in the paint. He'll get his rebounds, and defend his position. He'll get good minutes.     Like many in this class Travis will have his ups and downs. He's still an active prospect who isn't afraid to make mistakes in a game. He'll give effort defending, and rebounding. He used a two dribble drive to get into the paint, he'll take the hit around the rim. His lengthy arms got him a steal, and a few offensive rebounds. He's a contributor.     A big guard listed at 6'4, didn't see much action on the Varsity last season. At this event he showed he could run the point guard position with good vision, long passes up court, some were nicely placed bounce passes, he knows where his scorers are. He has long strides driving into and across the paint. He'll move the ball, he found a body to boxout. We'll see more       It's safe to say Williams will be a highly regarded prospect in the Class of 2029. A 6'3 guard and growing with plenty of ways to generate buckets. He has an experienced skill set. Good handles to create, a first step, keeps defenders on his side, he'll use a drive spin move, and more to finish around the rim, will finish with either hand. He has a nice fade paint jumper over long arm defenders.
