Put together multiple double-doubles this past weekend, fueled by his impact on the glass. Scored it at all three levels without forcing the action, consistently getting to his spots and delivering timely buckets within the flow of the game. Created well off the dribble with strong control and feel, and was especially effective in the mid-range where he looked comfortable rising and converting. Finished through contact at the rim and consistently made his presence felt rebounding on both ends.

One of the most complete performances of the Albany Holiday Showcase came from Williams, who dropped 21 points while dishing out 5 assists in the first half alone. His feel for the game is advanced, especially as a playmaker. Add in rebounding, composure, and multi-level scoring, and it’s clear why he’s the number freshman in Norcal.

The 6’3 guard is averaging 24.8ppg in the early season. He’s a big guard with a polished set of skills that allows him to generate buckets in different ways. He handles, has balance, can fend off defenders on drives to the basket, or pull up for mid-range jumpers off the dribble, he can hit 3-pointers as well. What might get overlooked right now is his ability to facilitate. He’s a good passer with vision.

Williams set the tone for a rising Freshman season playing on the 3SSB Circuit with Compton Magic against quality competition regularly, and going off with his Monterey Trail team at Section 7. He’s a battle tested guard that can produce buckets, and deliver quality assists.

A big guard with play making skills. In other settings we’ve seen him actively looking to put point on the board in different ways. Drives to the basket, pull up jumpers, and 3ptrs. At this event, the game we watched, he seemed to be making a conscious effort to be a facilitator. He handled up top, set the offense in half-court at times. He had good dribble drives into the paint looking for the assists. Drive and kick, dish and dump to bigs around the basket. We know he’s a capable bucket getter. One of the better 2029 Prospects in NorCal.

It’s safe to say Williams will be a highly regarded prospect in the Class of 2029. A 6’3 guard and growing with plenty of ways to generate buckets. He has an experienced skill set. Good handles to create, a first step, keeps defenders on his side, he’ll use a drive spin move, and more to finish around the rim, will finish with either hand. He has a nice fade paint jumper over long arm defenders.
