This article has nothing to do with rankings. PHD is just talking about ballers we have watched in the past, appreciate their game, and believe they will have success this next winter season.

Looking good this spring/summer with SSA and the Comets. Koppmann's strengths are his offensive versatility and ability to run the floor with his length. Look for Henry to improve his physicality and for his outside shot to become more consistent. Koppmann and Kieffer make for a scary inside-out Comet combination.

[player_tooltip player_id='1641571' first='Jaxson' last='Weeldreyer'] (2026) |6'3 G/F| & [player_tooltip player_id='2338447' first='Kai' last='Good'] (2027) |6'0 G| O'Gorman

Jackson and Kai are playing well this spring/summer and the Knights are looking like a cohesive and talented unit. Weeldreyer and Good have stepped into scoring roles for the Knights and they are putting up crooked numbers. OG will be a very deep and balanced team and their bench has been a strength so far this summer. The knights replace five seniors who played most of the varsity minutes in 2024-2025, but they have a chance to be a tough team to beat this coming year. Look for Jaxson and Kai to be breakout baller this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='2693802' first='Kamden' last='Cisse'] (2026) |6'1 G| & [player_tooltip player_id='1911438' first='Mason' last='Clark'] (2026) |5'11 G| O'Gorman

Kam and Mason have both had a great start to the summer, leading the Knights to some fun team camp and summer league wins. Both ballers have really become good leaders and their unselfish play makes everyone around them better. Cisse and Clark are both hard workers on both ends and they do the little things. OG is a team to watch next season as they have depth and balance. Their bench has looked great this summer. They Knights will not have much size but they will be a tough squad in 2025-26.

[player_tooltip player_id='2132570' first='Sully' last='Kieffer'] (2027) |6'0 G| Rapid City Christian

He was the Comets most improved player at the varsity level this past season, Sully had a great State Tourney. Kieffer is also looking good this spring/summer. He is a big guard who is a tough defender and rebounder. Sully is a space and shot-creator via the slash/drive. Expect his outside shot to keep improving. Sully will be a dude next winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1641568' first='Wyatt' last='Gylten'] (2026) |6'4 G| STM

Buzzy is a big guard who is full of athleticism and playmaking. He is skilled and tougher than a grumpy badger. Gylten is a high-riser who can play above the rim but also stretch the floor with his deep range and fill-it-up from three-point land. Buzzy has a high IQ, impressive court vision, and is a precision passer. He is a versatile defender who will lock down offensive players this winter. The coaching change for the Cavs could be liberating. Expect Buzzy to be a greenlight shooter in 2025-26 and to put up splashy numbers on a nightly basis.

Baltic Bulldogs

PHD is high on Baltic, they are going to be legit in Class A next year! They have all the pieces to be great. Baltic is coming off an impressive showing in Lawrence (KS) at the Bill Self Team Camp, where they went 7-0 and brought home a championship!

PHD really likes this squad, I have watched a handful of the ballers this spring and the Bulldogs legit.

[player_tooltip player_id='2410633' first='Trevor' last='Cuperus'] caught my eye early in the spring as a tough, strong, and physical low-post player. Trevor took a big step forward these past few days in Kansas. He asserted himself as a physical presence inside and was tough on both O & D. [player_tooltip player_id='1656545' first='Dylan' last='Runestad'] has shot it well all spring in club basketball. In Kansas, Dylan was able to get to his spots and know down big shots for the Bulldogs. Runestad hit the go-ahead triple with 6 seconds remaining in OT of the Championship game. This kid is clutch! [player_tooltip player_id='1656544' first='Kellen' last='Artz'] continues to improve his game; he has a high ceiling. Artz was a defensive playmaker in Kansas and he did a great job of passing out of the high post. Kellen carved up zone defenses. He is an underrated passer! [player_tooltip player_id='1641266' first='Ben' last='Erickson'] has impressed me early in the spring at a Prep Hoops event and he had a high-quality performance in Kansas. Erickson created a ton with his defense. He was phenomenal at pushing the ball and making plays in transition. Baltic had a collective effort over the past 3 days at KU, they played well against fast-tempo and grind-it-out style teams. The Bulldogs are versatile and they are turning into a winning squad. At KU, Baltic did a good job of recognizing situations while making quick and timely in-game adjustments. The Baltic Ballers did a great job of performing when it mattered, turning stops in points, and showed that they are clutch performers.
