O'Gorman | 2027
is a name to watch for O’Gorman as he gears up for what could be a breakout season. The 6’2″ guard has added a few inches and now brings length, explosiveness, and versatility to the Knights’ lineup. Kai has already proven himself at the sub-varsity level, showing the ability to score in bunches and make plays on both ends. This season, he’ll have the chance to blend with a talented senior group of guards, freeing him up to focus on scoring and locking down defensively — two areas where he can really shine. With his growth, confidence, and athletic tools, Kai might just be ready to go from good to great for O’Gorman this winter.

Kai has the play style and killer instinct in him to be a major player. He attacks and he makes you guard him. A threat going to the rack and at the three-point line. Attacks the defender in a relentless manner.

Kai really popped and stood out at the Dakotas Sophomore ID Camp. We were clearly too low on him simply because I hadn’t seen him more than a few times and zero times live. Saw him live in Sioux Falls then found some non-varsity O’Gorman film to fully evaluate him. Well anyways, Good brings the juice and competes 100% on both ends. Plays extremely fast with the ball and is looking to put pressure on his defender. If you’re defending him you have to be locked-in every second, because he will attack a back-peddling defender. O’Gorman is absolutely stacked at his position on the varsity level and the coaching staff will have to make some tough choices on playing time for its 2-guards. His time will come, and my bet is that he delivers.

Kai was the biggest South Dakota 2027 stock-riser from the event. I had only seen him online a couple of times. I have now him slotted as a top 15 prospect in the South Dakota 2027 class. He has a super-quick handle on the ball, with a powerful crossover that he used to get by his defender. He finished when he got to the rack. Went on a 12-0 run by himself in one of the games, hitting back-to-back threes. Runs the floor and accelerates quickly. A true competitor that brought it.
