PHD: Walk me through your off-season. What did you do to improve your basketball game?

“In my off-season, my coach and I work out 3 times a week. We work on shooting, ball handling, and spacing/ conditioning. We worked on being explosive out of the first step, and I feel like it has improved my game.“

PHD: What’s one specific part of your game you focused on improving this offseason, and where do you feel like you’ve made the most progress?

“I feel like this off-season, my finishing has improved a lot. Working on different angles of approaching the hoop as well as layups over taller defenders.“

PHD: What does your fall look like right now? Are you playing another sport, or is it all basketball focused?

“I am playing football currently. I am balancing football practice, basketball workouts, and getting lifts in as well.“

PHD: What are your goals for the coming season, both individually and for your team?

“My goals this upcoming season are to make the State Tournament and be an All-State Player.“

PHD: Can you give some insight on an influential coach you have had? What made them memorable?

“My AAU coach Joesph Habtemariam was influential to me because he always pointed out what I was doing wrong and helped me adjust.“

PHD: Time to give a shout to a teammate…Who do we need to know about from your high school team?

“A teammate I would like to shout out is Camden Jones Camden Jones 6'4" | 185 lbs | SG/SF Dell Rapids | 2029 State SD ; he’s always looking to find me when I’m open and is a great teammate.“

PHD: Who is your favorite player to watch in college or the NBA, and why?

“My favorite NBA player to watch is Kyrie Irving because of his handles and shooting.“

PHD: Where do you feel like your game has grown the most in the past year or two?

“I feel like my ball handling has changed a lot over the past few years. I can be an on-ball and off-ball guard.“

PHD: Who pushes you the hardest, whether that’s a teammate, a coach, or someone you train with?

“My parents push me the most to be the hardest worker I can.“

PHD: Where is your hot spot on the floor or can you tell us about a “go-to” move you like to use?

“My hot spot on the floor is the right wing. My go-to move is a side jab, one dribble to the left, pull-up.“

Lincoln brings a lot of value to Hoop City South Dakota Joey 16U. I really like his basketball IQ on the court. Protects and values the ball as he moves the ball around the horn cleanly and quickly. He’s an aggressive 3-point shooter and is sort of a high volume shooter from three, but he still has great shot selection. He has a quick release, so that makes it easy for him to get clean looks. He can also shoot the ball off the dribble and pull up when he attacks a closing-out defender. He brings more value than a box score may suggest. After viewing him more closely and gaining far more appreciation of his value, I think he needs to jump up the 2027 rankings board considerably. He could be considered for a spot around #40 overall
