The rankings for the Class of 2028 have officially been update, and, not only update but expanded!

With the move from a Top 25 to a Top 100, there are plenty of newcomers (75, to be exact) in this rankings update. Some have made their way into the rankings from the Watch List, while others are new to the region, or have chosen to transfer to a prep school and reclassify.

What they all have in common is that they caught the attention of our scouts with their play this winter and spring and now have earned a spot in the 2028 Prep Hoops New England Rankings.

Below are 10 newcomers that have stood out in recent weeks.

Short, a talented two-way wing out of the Dexter Southfield School in Massachusetts, makes his first appearance in the rankings at #21. A well-built 6'4" forward, Short plays with impressive athletic pop on both ends of the floor. He's got a good motor and isn't afraid to give up his body to be the first to the floor for 50/50 balls or to take charges. Defensively, he can guard up and down a line-up with his combination of positional size, athleticism, length, and physicality. Offensively, he has the ability to score at multiple levels, but is best in catch and shoot situations from behind the arc and when finishing around the rim.

Millar, a heady wing out of the New Hampton School in New Hampshire, makes his first appearance in the rankings at #36. A perimeter prospect that has quickly developed his guard skills, Millar is a capable secondary ball-handler that has the ability to make shots in bunches from behind the arc. He's a good straight line driver and willing ball mover that doesn't over dribble or stall an offense. Defensively, he uses his body to his advantage on the glass and plays angles well, particularly when operating out of the help position. As he continues to develop his ability as an initiator, as well as fills out his frame, his profile as a prospect should only continue to rise.

McClure, a skilled combo guard out of Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire, makes his first appearance in the rankings at #41. At 6'3", McClure is a versatile guard that can play on or off the ball, showing an advanced skillset and the ability to score in isolation situations. He's a creative ball-handler that can make decisions out of ball screen actions or get into the paint off the bounce in isolation situations. He's a tough shot maker in the mid-range, crafty finisher in the paint, and can really shoot the ball from behind the arc. Defensively, he uses his length to his advantage, plays with a high basketball IQ, and has the size to guard any spot on the perimeter.

Figueroa, a talented big out of the Brooks School in Massachusetts, makes his first appearance in the rankings at #51. At 6'8" with a wide base and strong shoulder, Figueroa has a frame that some '26's would be envious of. With his size, he's able to make a ton of noise in the paint, on both ends of the floor, but has recently showed off a budding skillset too. He can make shots in the mid-range and as a pop guy out of ball screens, while also operating as an initiator out of DHO situations. On the other end of the floor, he walls up in the paint withouth fouling and has the ability to rebound both in space and in traffic. He uses his size and length combination on that end of the floor to protect the rim as a shot blocker.

Everitt, a versatile two-way wing out of the Avon Old Farms School in Connecticut, makes his first appearance in the rankings at #59. A big 6'5" wing, Everitt is a skilled lefty that has the ability to score at multiple levels, while also making some plays off the bounce as a creator. He runs the floor well in transition, sees over the defense as a passer, and can consistently hit shots in catch and shoot situations. Defensively, he has the versatility to guard four positions and is capable of making plays on the glass and in passing lanes. He's got a nice combination of size and skill, which should only allow him to continue to blossom as a prospect going forward.

Manning, a playmaking combo guard out of the Northfield Mount Hermon School in Massachusetts, makes his first appearance in the rankings at #67. A real shot maker, Manning has some versatility on the offensive end of the floor with his ability to make plays with the ball in his hands. He plays to his strengths, doing a lot with the ball in his hands, and making shots at multiple levels. He's got a good frame and continues to grow, both good signs as he develops as a prospect. Defensively, he plays with a high IQ, understands angles, and is capable of making plays in passing lanes. He has good leadership qualities and has the potential to develop into a true lead guard in time.

An active defender, Stromme plays with a high motor on both ends of the floor. He's got a quick first step and is an aggressive on ball defender, willing to take chances that lead to turnovers. Offensively, he moves well without the basketball and has the ability to knock down shots in catch and shoot situations. He's got good range on his jumper, knows how to use screens to get open, and has a quick release on his shot. Beyond that, he cuts hard to the rim and can finish with either hand around the basket.

Offensively, he can get out and really run the floor in transition, showing a good set of hands and the ability to finish with length around the rim. He's capable of finishing plays as a low block scorer and continues to develop his off the bounce game as a slasher from the perimeter.
