Brewer made a big impact during the first game of the morning as his team moved the ball and shot it at a high level to grab a comfortable victory to open up their weekend. Brewer is a taller ball handler who showed the ability to change speeds and direction off the bounce. An unselfish guard as well, Brewer had a couple outlet passes to start the fast break and hit teammates in the pick and roll game as well. With three Marysville 2026 players on this Midwest Chaffin team, the chemistry they play with is obvious when you see them play and Brewer is the straw that stirs the drink for this group.

Reppart shot the ball very efficiently on Saturday morning as he got a bunch of looks on the wing that he knocked down. To open the second half Reppart had back-to-back 3-pointers from basically the same spot on the court. As a slasher, Reppart preferred to attack and finish with his dominant right hand but also had one lefty drive and finish that ended in an and-1 layup.

The Cincy Titans held off a strong comeback from Phenom United Lima to win their opening game of the weekend and Gearding was lighting it up from long distance in the first half to give his team the cushion it needed in the second half. A talented shooter, Gearding knocked down at least three first half 3-pointers and one came immediately after he blocked a layup on the defensive end. In crunch time Gearding had an and-1 layup to put the game away for his group. When Gearding and the rest of his Cincy Titans team takes care of the basketball, they are tough to stop offensively with their perimeter shooting ability.

One of the tallest players at the tournament, Willow is a force on both ends in the paint. With a long wingspan and one of the best vertical jumps in Ohio for his height, Willow is a big time shot blocker that swats anything in his vicinity. Offensively, Willow is still figuring some things out but did a nice job rebounding his own misses in the paint before finishing at the rim. Definitely a name for regional small college coaches to track, Willow played a big role for Arlington in their regional title winning team in the spring as a junior.

The mask Bertke is wearing this weekend didn't seem to affect him whatsoever as he was doing what he does, finding easy shots by moving without the basketball and making the simple basketball play. I don't want to take away from the individual talent Bertke has but he really does do an excellent job of keeping the game simple and sticking to what he's good at, cutting, finishing, making open shots and finding the open man. No surprise with this set of skills, production and his size on the wing that numerous scholarship programs are interested in him at the next level.

One of the players I was most excited to watch this weekend, Holler had a nice game connecting on four 3-pointers in [program_tooltip program_id='2075761' first='Ohio' last='Buckets'] Black opening game of the weekend. With good size and length on the wing, Holler can get steals and defensive rebounds to start fast break opportunities for his team. Connecting on four 3-pointers as well, Holler seemed to find the ball in the right place at the right time to score. After sharing the spotlight last season for Liberty Benton, Holler is the unquestioned leader this season as he looks to keep his program among NW Ohio's best.
