[player_tooltip player_id='2762396' first='Kamari' last='Nicholson'] (Warren County), [player_tooltip player_id='2287864' first='Charles' last='Pur'] (Burlington Christian), [player_tooltip player_id='2626034' first='Karon' last='Watlington'] (Burlington Christian), [player_tooltip player_id='2891291' first='Geren' last='Holmes'] (Garner) and [player_tooltip player_id='2268825' first='Julian' last='Lowe'] (Jordan) have given new life to the meaning of the high school transfer portal and what it's become in the state of North Carolina. It definitely gives The Burlington School a ton of size, something they lacked entirely in 2024-25. But it also raises the profile of the Spartans on a national level. Pur is and Watlington are both Division I prospects while Holmes, Lowe and Nicholson equally have room to improve their stock this upcoming season. The University of Lynchburg has already offered [player_tooltip player_id='2891291' first='Geren' last='Holmes'].

Pur and Watlington were key contributors this past season for BCA while leading them deep into the NCISAA State Playoffs. Watlington has seen his stock rise a ton since bursting onto the PH scene and hasn't looked back. He holds offers from Mississippi State, Samford, Old Dominion, and High Point. Pur was equally as effective given his size, length and versatility and he should really push TBS to the next level in 2025-26. He holds offers from Mississippi State, Nicholls State, South Carolina, Cincinnati and Penn State.

Nicholson was Warren County's best player in 2024-25, producing 10.6 ppg, 6.6 rpg and 4.1 bpg for the Eagles. He'll look to do more of the same and then some on the NCISAA stage with TBS.

Lowe is looking to go out with a bang as he moves into the 2027 class and he certainly can provide a spark for the Spartans. He shot 35 percent from deep this past season while averaging 15.6 ppg, 4.2 rpg and 1.1 apg as a sophomore. He'll look to add another weapon to their rotation.

It will be interesting to see how TBS looks in 2025-26 given their recent additions. They'll certainly be at the top of the list of the contenders for a state title, that's for sure.
