The NEPSAC is filled with talent across the board. Here are some scoring guards who should put up lots of points this season.

Maxwell-Grimes is a hard-nosed guard for Suffield Academy that has a knack for putting the ball in the hoop. He's only 6-foot-2 and not the freakiest athlete on the floor, but he's still a plus athlete who can shoot it from three, from the mid range, and can finish at the hoop with touch quite effectively. Even when he misses a couple shots in a row, he has the confidence to take the next one and is truly always attacking the defense. He can make good passing reads here and there, but he definitely takes a lot of tough shots. With a talented squad around him, I think he could take a big playmaking leap this year, which would increase his scholarship chances.

Mayben is a strong-bodied bulldog who cannot be denied from getting to his spots in the mid range and at the hoop. He's only 6-foot-2 but uses his strength and quickness to get paint touches and put the ball in the hoop relentlessly. He's a dog on both ends who takes physical contact well offensively and dishes it out on defense in a controlled yet chaotic manner. He's going to be one of the main scorers for Darrow Academy this season but will also be able to improve his facilitation instincts with the talent that exists around him. He's a scholarship guy who could improve his stock this season and this summer with BABC.

Romich is a pleasure to watch play the game of basketball. The 6-foot-3 guard can absolutely stroke it from three --- and has range a few steps beyond the line --- but he can also get to the rack with his quickness and strength. He can play both on and off the ball and can score in a variety of ways, but he also isn't as much of a "true scorer" as some of the other guys on this list, because he leans more towards finding his teammates on spray outs and dump downs once he punctures the paint (which he does quite often). Big opportunity for Romich on Kimball Union Academy's squad this upcoming season.

Williams was one of the more impressive combo guards I saw at Babson last weekend. The 6-foot-2 athlete gets to the lane at will with his quickness and explosive burst, and he has an active off-hand to throw off defenders as he gets there. He also has all the finishes and mid range shots in his bag, which is quite necessary for a scorer his size. Defensively, Williams does an excellent job in the passing lanes and scores lots of his points on fast break layups as a result. He's a total ballhawk. He'll be Milton Academy's leading scorer this season if I had to guess, and he should be looking at some scholarship offers.

It feels like Jenkins gets craftier and more forceful with his handle every time I watch him. The Worcester Academy stud has the ball on a string and competed harder than almost anyone that I saw at Babson, which is surprising given he's the biggest name out there. He's not too cool for school at all --- he plays every game like it's his last and attacks the cup relentlessly on offense. His footwork and finishing in the lane is tremendous, and he's a complete animal on the defensive end, especially against guards his size. High major prospect who should have a massive year with Worcester Academy.
