The NCAA Tournament wasn't the only thing heating up this week, as prospects were flying off the board in New England!

Below, we'll take a look at ten prospects that recently announced their plans for the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='3562018' first='Mason' last='Nguyen']

Nguyen, a guard out of Medomak Valley High School in Maine, wrapped up his recruitment when he announced that he'll be attending the University of Maine at Farmington. The 6'2" guard can do a bit of everything on the offensive end of the floor, including initiating offense in the half-court and scoring it at all three levels. He's a versatile defender that rebounds bigger than his size and does a nice job of making plays on the ball and in passing lanes. Nguyen has the ability to carve out a role quick at UMF and, long-term, could develop into an all-league type of performer in the NAC.

[player_tooltip player_id='2341420' first='Aboubakar' last='Nimaka']

Nimaka, a wing out of Malden Catholic High School in Massachusetts, put an end to his recruitment with a commitment to Wheaton College. The 6'3" wing is a plus athlete that's at his best as a scorer in the open floor, where he can use his length and athleticism to attack the rim. He's developed his perimeter scoring to the point that it's a consistent threat, thrives on the defensive end of the floor with his versatility, and has the ability to be a lockdown defender on the perimeter. Nimaka is the type of two-way wing that will find his way onto the floor quickly at Wheaton and his defensive versatility should allow him to develop into an all-defensive type performer in the NEWMAC.

Duke Chery

Chery, a guard out of Malden Catholic High School in Massachusetts, came off the board when he pledged his commitment to Curry College. The 5'10" guard can really guard the ball at the point of attack, playing with impressive lateral mobility and and quick hands, which allows him to create steals at a high clip as an on ball defender. Offensively, he has a really quick first step, does a nice job of making reads out of ball screen, and has the ability to finish with touch over size in the paint. Chery has the ability to earn early minutes at Curry and could make an impact early on in the CNE with his effort on the defensive end of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2553785' first='Aiden' last='Smith']

Smith, a guard out of Tabor Academy in Massachusetts, announced his future plans with a commitment to Assumption University. The 6'0" lead guard is a crafty playmaker that does a great job of making reads off of a live dribble, showing impressive floor vision and the ability to deliver passes on time and on target. He knows how to create space with the dribble, changes his speeds as a driver, and has the ability to make shots at multiple levels. Defensively, he really competes on the ball and shows a high IQ in rotations off the ball. Smith has done a lot of winning over the last two years, and so has Assumption, making it a good match of player and program - where I'd expect him to find his way onto the floor sooner rather than later in the Northeast-10.

[player_tooltip player_id='2696698' first='Bryan' last='Wilson Jr.']

Wilson, a guard out of St. Luke's School in Connecticut, made his plans for the next level official when he announced that he'll attend Wheaton College. The 5'11" guard is incredibly quick with the ball in his hands, showing the ability to repeatedly beat the initial defender in isolation situations. He plays with great burst as a driver, is a crafty finisher around the rim, and does a nice job of find shooters on the perimeter off of his drives. Defensively, all of his physical traits allow him to be disruptive both on the ball and in passing lanes. Wilson and Wheaton are a good match, as he's the type of two-way guard that should eventually find success in the NEWMAC.

[player_tooltip player_id='3343780' first='Matty' last='Gray']

Gray, a forward out of Burlington High School in Massachusetts, ended his recruitment when he announced his commitment to Endicott College. The 6'6" forward has terrific positional size and length and plays with a high amount of versatility on the offensive end of the floor. He knocks down threes at a high clip, can finish above the rim when attacking closeouts, and does a nice job of finishing in the mid-range off of his pull up game. Defensively, he offers some rim protection, can guard up and down a position, and makes tons of plays in passing lanes. Gray has the potential to carve out a role in Year 1 at Endicott and has a chance to develop into one of the best two-way forwards in the CNE.

[player_tooltip player_id='2396724' first='Nate' last='Djanogly']

Djanogly, a forward out of the Northfield Mount Hermon School in Massachusetts, put an end to his recruitment with a commitment to Lehigh University. The 6'10" forward has battled some injuries, but when healthy, he fits the mold of a modern, floor-spacing big. He knocks down threes in catch and shoot situations and as a pop guy out of ball screens and even has some shot creation ability off the bounce. Defensively, he's got good instincts around the rim and the ability to guard in space too. Djanogly found a good landing spot at Lehigh and has the tools to develop into a contributor in the Patriot League.

Martyn Poliuchovic

Poliuchovic, a guard out of Putnam Science Academy in Connecticut, wrapped up his recruitment with a pledge to Nichols College. The 6'3" guard can really shoot the ball and excels doing so while using screens or in dribble-hand off actions. He's developed his off the bounce game and is a creative passer with good vision when he gets into the paint. Defensively, he really sits in a stance and competes and isn't afraid to give up his body to make winning plays. Poliuchovic should carve out a nice four-year career at Nichols and will help them win games in the CNE.

[player_tooltip player_id='3561288' first='Wilson' last='Youssef']

Youssef, a guard out of Pinkerton Academy in New Hampshire, announced his plans for the next level with a commitment to Rivier University. The 6'4" guard has terrific length and does a nice job of operating as a primary creator with the ball in his hands. He has good vision as a passer, knows how to play at different speeds in the half-court, and has the ability to take over games as a shot maker when needed. He's ultra-competitive and does a nice job of playing bigger than his frame on the defensive glass. Youssef profiles as an instant impact prospect on the offensive end of the floor for Rivier, with the potential to be an all-league player in the GNAC at some point during his career.

[player_tooltip player_id='2875595' first='Medi' last='Angyal']

Angyal, a forward out of the Taft School in Connecticut, finalized his future plans when he announced that he'll attend Rollins College. The 6'8" forward has broad shoulders and a college-ready frame, which he's developed a lot over the last year. He's playing with more athleticism and burst than ever before and has really added to his offensive game, showing the ability to make plays out to the perimeter. Defensively, he's a high level rebounder that uses his frame to ward off opponents, while showing the motor needed to really go get it off the glass. Angyal is the type of prospect who could make a Day 1 impact at Rollins and could develop into one of the top forwards in the Sunshine State Conference.
