The 2028 class is shaping up to be a special one—and the wing position might just be its deepest, most exciting group. These players bring size, skill, and versatility, making them valuable assets on both ends of the floor. From shot-makers to lockdown defenders, this group does a little bit of everything. I'm excited to see how they continue to develop this summer and head into what should be a big season.

Columbine is a team that I am excited to see get after it as they have multiple young pieces that will allow them to compete next season. They have spunk and 6'4 forward [player_tooltip player_id='2381955' first='Jeremiah' last='Shortis'] is at the top of the list of freshman I'm excited to see this summer. In his freshman campaign he put up 9.9 points and 5.4 rebounds a game. Shortis uses his size inside, backs players down and has a motor to get to where he wants on the floor. He has excellent footwork and likes to create and hunt mismatches which is rare for a player at that age. I am excited to see him continue to expand his game and hone in on the skills that make him special as he looks to be one of the most exciting players in this class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2395343' first='Lincoln' last='Lemieux'] is one of the most versatile and consistent offensive weapons in his class. Whether he's attacking downhill with power and touch or knocking down shots from deep, he gets it done at all three levels. A proven scorer for East High School, Lemieux's game has taken another leap with [program_tooltip program_id='2836105' first='Pluto' last='Prospects'], where he's been able to expand his skill set and show more of his arsenal. He's a certified sniper with serious range, and that gravity opens the floor for everyone around him. Aggressive, confident, and efficient. Lemieux is a name you'll be hearing a lot more of.

Standing at 6'1, [player_tooltip player_id='2531909' first='Bryson' last='Williams'] quietly put together a solid season while expanding his game on a team that faced its share of struggles. With more freedom to explore, he took advantage of the opportunity, gaining valuable reps and growing his confidence. He averaged 6.5 points per game, shot an impressive 36% from three, and chipped in on the glass with a few boards each night. Whether spacing the floor, making the right read, or competing on defense, he does a little bit of everything. With a year of experience now under his belt, expect a big jump this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2724174' first='Aiden' last='Parrington'] is a 6'3 freshman with big-time upside, made his presence felt early despite playing on an upperclassmen-heavy roster. He earned minutes from Day 1. Parrington averaged 9.1 points and 4.7 rebounds per game, showing a strong inside presence while also stepping out and knocking down the three, flashing his versatility. As the season progressed, so did his confidence and impact. Now, with a year of experience and growth under his belt, he'll be looked at as the guy moving forward and and all signs point to him being ready for the challenge.

Marcelus Duncan is undoubtedly the top player in his class, and he backed it up with a standout freshman campaign. Duncan was named Honorable Mention All-State while helping lead his team to a state runner-up finish. He's not the type to wait for the game to come to him, he takes over. He's a high-flying, athletic hybrid with a relentless motor, he averaged 14 points, 5 boards, 2 steals, and 3 blocks per game. He's also one of the few freshmen to post multiple double-doubles last season. Duncan has set the bar—and now the rest of the class is chasing him.
