We are hard at work here in the month of June covering weekly high school leagues, team camps, shootouts, and much more. However, even during all of the busy scholastic competition going on this month, we also wanted to find time to update our prospect rankings. This week features our updated and expanded Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2027 Prospect Rankings. We are up to 100 ranked prospects and over 450 total rising junior prospects in the database as a whole after adding about 60 new names this update. As always, we will spend the whole week diving deeper in the rankings. Let's begin here by highlighting a handful of the prospects who made their debut in the Prep Hoops Indiana Prospect Rankings with this update.

Bowers has consistently been one of the most impressive in-state big men through the spring. He stands at a legitimate 6'9"-6'10", but still has solid footwork, runs the floor well, and isn't clumsy when he catches the ball around the basket. Making his debut here at #37 in our Class of 2027 Prospect Rankings, Bowers will attend Covenant Christian for his junior season. He is definitely one that college coaches across all levels should mark down and track the development of over the next year or so. There are plenty of tools to like already.

A new name to Indiana, but certainly not a new name to the Class of 2027 rankings in general, [player_tooltip player_id='2125612' first='Devin' last='Cleveland'] has transferred to La Lumiere for his junior season. The super talented 6'2" guard is a borderline Top 25 prospect nationally and has really shined for Mac Irvin Fire through the spring. He is a dynamic shot-maker, excellent athlete with the ball in his hands, and crafty as a playmaker off of the bounce. Indiana's Class of 2027 lost a big name in Jaylan Mitchell, but it gained another one in Cleveland.

We will absolutely need to continue to see Grubbs play more to get a more thorough evaluation on him, but we wanted to go ahead and include him in this latest rankings update. The 6'6" big man transferred in to New Albany High School from Trinity in Louisville. Grubbs is a good athlete at his position with the length and footwork to guard multiple positions on any given possession. It will certainly be a priority of ours to get a good evaluation of Grubbs this coming weekend at the Charlie Hughes Showcase.

Evansville Bosse has a couple guys providing an influx of talent this coming season, but they also have solid returning pieces to help build out their core. Hale, a 5'10" rising junior, is one of those proven returning pieces. He averaged 6.0 points and a team-leading 7.1 rebounds per game last season as a sophomore. His interior strength and physicality makes him very hard to handle for opposing guards. Hale is super willing to get involved around the basket not just as a finisher but as a defender and rebounder as well. The versatility that he provides in the backcourt will allow him to fit in well with the talent surrounding him

Kokomo added a transfer this off-season in [player_tooltip player_id='2882250' first='Josphat' last='Kanyinda'] and we have had the opportunity to see him, briefly, a couple of times now between UA Rise Session I with [program_tooltip program_id='2075551' first='Indiana' last='Game'] and then with Kokomo up at Notre Dame Team Camp. The 6'7" center is still raw and developing, but he checks several boxes in terms of size, athleticism, and motor. He will bring some needed size, rebounding, and shot-blocking to the Wildkats front court this coming season. Kanyinda makes his debut as a "new name" here in our rankings at #88 overall in the Class of 2027.

There is so much talent going through the program at Silver Creek High School right now. This 6'4" wing has carved out a starting role for the Dragons this summer after averaging 6.2 points and 4.9 rebounds per game as a sophomore. What has stood out the most, and is a big reason for him jumping into our Class of 2027 Prospect Rankings at #78, are the developments he has made as a shooter from beyond the arc. McLaughlin is a much more willing and able catch-and-shoot threat now which is starting to take his game to another level. He is sharing the floor with plenty of good players at all times, but McLaughlin should be poised for a very good junior season.

Oxley has gotten stronger and more confident on the floor which has earned him a spot on our Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2027 Watch List. The 5'10" guard from Tecumseh High School is a shifty ball handler that showcases the ability to get two feet in the paint off of the bounce while also stretching the floor as a three-point shooting threat. It is that combination of skills that makes him a tough cover on the perimeter. He is an under-the-radar guard down in southern Indiana worth following over the next couple of years.

An up-and-coming rising junior at Greenwood Community High School, Reynolds has gotten onto our Watch List after a strong spring at a couple of Prep Hoops Circuit events. The 6'6" forward is super bouncy around the basket, can play above the rim at both ends, and rebounds his area at a high level. That athleticism is what is most intriguing right now when projecting him down the road, but there are some flashes of skill as well. He can drive it in a straight line from the perimeter, impact the game in transition, and score off of the offensive glass. Reynolds is a prospect who could easily break into our rankings before he graduates.
