<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We have released our latest edition of the 2027 Illinois Rankings!&nbsp; The list has expanded to include prospects that emerged this spring.&nbsp; Here we dive into the group including in this story <strong>2027 Rankings Update: Top Wings</strong>!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125674' first='Quinton' last='Kitt'] (East Peoria)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kitt established himself as the top wing in this class because of his versatility and ability to impact the game across the board.&nbsp; The ultimate stat sheet stuffer in this class.&nbsp; He averaged 13.1 PPG and 4.2 RPG along with a steal and dime a game for [program_tooltip program_id='2078449' first='Meanstreets' last=''] in EYBL play.&nbsp; Really impressed us when we saw him with his size, strength, and athleticism.&nbsp; Slasher and transition finisher that plays above the rim.&nbsp; Crisp jumper where he elevates easily.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125659' first='Kristopher' last='Mporokoso'] (Waubonsie Valley)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With the graduation of the Waubonsie senior stars expect Mporokoso to have a monster junior season.&nbsp; Strong and skilled wing that can slash, shoot, defend, and rebound.&nbsp; Productive wing that averaged 10 PPG this spring in the UAA at the 16U level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125642' first='Jarrel' last='Brown'] (Normal Community)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brown is one of the top 2027 prospects in central Illinois. Long and lanky build with plus athleticism.&nbsp; He can knock down spot up threes although he did struggle a bit in that area this spring.&nbsp; We are believing in the shooting and upside as a versatile defender.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125660' first='Lamari' last='Carpenter'] (Glenbard North)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Carpenter is a long and wiry two guard with quick twitched explosiveness.&nbsp; Very good off the bounce with his handles along with being able to pull up in the mid-range for shots.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125658' first='Kendall' last='Meyers'] (Marist)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Intriguing prospect that is primed for a much larger role as a junior for Marist.&nbsp; Big bodied playmaker that has excellent passing instincts, rebounds well, and is a good shooter especially in the mid-range.&nbsp; Finishes through contact at the cup.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2323622' first='Damari' last='Stephens'] (Kenwood)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stephens is a physically built wing that can win with brute force or skill.&nbsp; Loves to use his size to his advantage where he attacks on straight line takes and finishes through defenders.&nbsp; Also has improved his handles and is a solid pull up jump shooter.&nbsp; Rebounds well for his position.&nbsp; In the EYBL he averaged 10.5 PPG, 6 RPG, and 2.2 APG.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2532349' first='Owen' last='Kirby'] (Normal West)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Shooters with size are always a coveted commodity.&nbsp; That is what Kirby brings to the table.&nbsp; Spot up shot maker from beyond the arc that makes them at a high level from distance off the catch.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
