The Prep Hoops Circuit Havoc in the Heartland kicked off the first night of the weekend at the Farmer Bank Fieldhouse in Lebanon, Indiana on Friday and there was a ton of talent in the gym. The Prep Hoops Indiana Staff was in the house for the first night just like they will be all weekend long. For myself, I was able to catch three games on Friday night. Here are my standouts from Friday's portion of Havoc in the Heartland.

Lawson was the main ball-handler for Progeny 16 u and I thought he played that role ver well. Pretty carafe with his handles and got the dunes off balance a bit, just needs to work keeping those handles a tighter. As scorer, he mostly tries to create in the lane but did have a nice pull-up from three. Good upside.

Without question, [player_tooltip player_id='2414953' first='Mason' last='Loyd'] was the best shooter I saw on Friday night at Havoc in the Heartland. He has some real confidence from behind the arc with a fast, consistent trigger on his outside shot. Pretty good size on the wing with the potential to grow a bit more. Tough defender, as well.

The 6'5 small forward out of Lawrence North was one of the more impressive players I watched on Friday night at Havoc in the Heartland. He is very athletic wing that has length to play both on the wing and inside around the paint. Around the paint is where he is most comfortable right now on both ends scoring through contact while also being a solid shot blocker. Like his overall toughness.

Day was playing a little out of position for Progeny 16u but regardless, really liked how he managed to make an impact. Has a lot of power in his and can rebound willingly on both ends of the floor. What stood out to me was how good he was off the ball cutting in the lane and being good in pick-and-roll chances. He is one to watch this summer.

Buchhaas is the most under-the-radar name on this standout list but made an impression to me on Friday night for [program_tooltip program_id='2471005' first='Legacy' last='Ice Elite'] 17u. At 6'6, he is more of a true post that plays with strength around the rim. The biggest standout for me was his rim protection skills as he made things difficult there on the defensive end. Had some tough scores through contact, as well.

A player that you absolutely need to have eyes on this summer is Silver Creek power forward [player_tooltip player_id='2476482' first='Dane' last='Caldwell'], who is running with Progeny 17u. There are not many players his size at 6'8 that have speed and explosiveness like Caldwell. Made some gritty plays around the rim and everything he did just felt like it had purpose behind it. A very impressive player.

At 6'7, [player_tooltip player_id='1560964' first='Edwin' last='Holmes'] was one of the more intriguing players I watched on Friday night. He is kind of the a hybrid-forward by the way he plays as he can use his size around the rim or make plays off the dribble in the lane from the wing. He is not overly quick as a player but has good mobility and versatility. Do not sleep on his ball handles as well. Really like what he can do on the floor.

No player in the gym on Friday night at Havoc in the Heartland stood out more than Parke Heritage power forward [player_tooltip player_id='2272232' first='Isaac' last='Pickel'], who plays for Progeny 17u. Right away, it is his motor and rim running that will almost immediately jump out to you along with his size. Scores a will around the rim and there wont be a rebound in his area that he will not fight for. Not hard for Pickel to draw your attention when you watch him.
