Believe it or not, June basketball is just right around the corner which means we will be right back into high school play as summer kicks off. Spring AAU is in full swing right now, but that does not mean we cannot look ahead to June where we will see our in-state prospects get back with their respective high school squads for a full month. For the next few weeks, we will look at some players for each class and position group as I give you my personal watch list for the month of June. Of course, every player we have in the state is a must-watch, but here are four player in the 2028 class that you should focus on just a little bit more, part one.

The Lawrence North Wildcats are going to look a tad different next season however, it is going to provide big time chances for some of the younger guys to step into bigger roles. A player that is projected to be a key part in the rotation next season is 2028 point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2617826' first='Davis' last='Baker']. Baker is listed at around 5-foot-10 that is a true playmaker with tough shot-making ability. He will be one to watch in June.

One of the more intriguing prospects we have in the instate 2028 class come from the Fort Wayne area. At the 6-foot-4, [player_tooltip player_id='2470787' first='Javontae' last='Eldridge'] is a multi-sport athlete that brings some high athleticism in the front court. He has already played some varsity for Fort Wayne Wayne but he is expected to become more of factor this season. Will be interesting to watch him come June.

[player_tooltip player_id='2823963' first='Kyron' last='Johnson'] is a player that I have had a chance to watch a little bit on the Prep Hoops circuit and even though he is on the smaller end right now, he is an extremely impressive on-ball guard. Johnson is a dynamic guard that can change the pace of the game and is able to be playmaker with tight handle on the ball. He is shifty when getting to the rim and can also knock down a jumper 15ft and out. New Albany has a great young core and Johnson is one of them.

[player_tooltip player_id='2409540' first='Michael' last='Wilson'] is a 2028 instate prospect that has had a strong spring and opened some eyes here at Prep Hoops Indiana and beyond. At 6-foot-4, Wilson is a wing that has the size, length, and athleticism to be considered to be one of the better long term potential prospects in the state. He is a pretty balanced player overall with the ability to knock down an outside jumper but he also loves to finish above the rim as well. Crown Point is a team looking to win it all this upcoming season and Wilson could be an x-factor for them.
