Believe it or not, June basketball is just right around the corner which means we will be right back into high school play as summer kicks off. Spring AAU is in full swing right now, but that does not mean we cannot look ahead to June where we will see our in-state prospects get back with their respective high school squads for a full month. For the next few weeks, we will look at some players for each class and position group as I give you my personal watch list for the month of June. Of course, every player we have in the state is a must-watch, but here are four small forwards in the 2027 class that you should focus on just a little bit more.

A player that has all the tools to breakout in the 2027 class is Whiteland small forward [player_tooltip player_id='2140412' first='Kyle' last='Edwards']. Last season for Whiteland, Edwards carved out a strong role for himself and averaged 7.4 points and 3.2 rebound per game. At 6-foot-3, Edwards plays with high athletic ability and is a very good shooter off the dribble. He also plays with toughness attacking the defense and has craft handles to create in the lane. Lot of upside in Edwards.

One of the more physical wings we have in the 2027 class is [player_tooltip player_id='2141044' first='Brandon' last='Day'], who comes out of Brownsburg High School. Day is a player with a very interesting skillset that can play inside-and-out but is projected to be more of a true wing long term. At 6-foot-4, Day plays with a lot of power and works very well off the ball and is a willing rebounder. Going into his Junior season, expect him to be more of a factor at Brownsburg.

One of the wings in the 2027 class that has some of highest amount of upside is [player_tooltip player_id='2141013' first='KJ' last='Jones'], who comes from Lawrence North High School. Listed at 5-foot-5, Jones is very athletic wing that has length to play both on the wing and inside around the paint. While he did not get a ton of run with Lawrence North last season, his time to produce is coming up starting this season and he has shown what he can bring with how well he has been for Progeny 16u. We really like his long term potential on the wing.

Murans is one of the highest rated players in this watch list series for June and he has more than earned his billing as one of the top prospects in the in-state 2027. Murans had his breakout season this past year for Guerin Catholic becoming their primary wing threat showcasing just how high his upside is as a player. He stands out with his size, length, and athleticism and based off his frame, his skillset is starting to take shape and it will not take too long for him to become one of the best, consistent shot-makers from the in the 2027 class before too long. He steps into a major role for Guerin Catholic next season and June will be a great time for coaches at all levels to get eyes on him.
