Believe it or not, June basketball is just right around the corner which means we will be right back into high school play as summer kicks off. Spring AAU is in full swing right now, but that does not mean we cannot look ahead to June where we will see our in-state prospects get back with their respective high school squads for a full month. For the next few weeks, we will look at some players for each class and position group as I give you my personal watch list for the month of June. Of course, every player we have in the state is a must-watch, but here are four power forwards and centers in the 2027 class that you should focus on just a little bit more.

One of the top bigs in the in-state 2027 class is a 6-foot-5 powerhouse out of Garrett High School, Isaiah King. King, who has had a great showing with Ohio Buckets this spring, is big man with really high upside in this 2027 class. He has a little bit of old-school big type of game where he is not going to do anything flashy but he will overpower you in the paint and produce. Scores around the rim, defends the post, and rebounds his area extremely well.

Moving down to southern Indiana is a power forward that has caught our eyes recently over at Prep Hoops Indiana. Bloomington South's [player_tooltip player_id='2470608' first='Duncan' last='Combs'] is a 6-foot-5 power forward that has the physical and athletic tools to compete at a high level. He is running with Midwest Basketball Club 3SSB and has been making an impact with them this spring. He is more comfortable as an inside threat right now but there is potential in him to stretch his game out over the next couple of seasons.

The most under-the-radar player in this watch list group comes from Guerin Catholic, [player_tooltip player_id='2410408' first='Alex' last='Wall']. Wall is a 6-foot-7 long center that has had a sneaky good showing this spring for [program_tooltip program_id='2471005' first='Legacy' last='Ice Elite'] 2027. While he does not have the strongest frame, he is a bouncy big man that likes to use his length and athletic ability to make plays. You can tell he is starting to get more physical while also improving his overall game. An intriguing prospect to watch come June.

The highest rated prospect on this list is one of the more intriguing big men in the in-state 2027 class. Westfield's [player_tooltip player_id='2414955' first='Luke' last='Vandegriff'] is one of the more physically big players you will see across the start and one that catches your attention when he walks into a gym. His sophomore season was sort of a mixed bag for him but he is expected to take on a much larger role come next season, starting in June. He is pretty consistent around the rim and can be an elite rebounder as well.
