[player_tooltip player_id='2845973' first='Jack' last='Burke'] put together a strong showing on Saturday morning in a win for [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select']. The 6'3 guard showed off his range beyond the arc, draining a number of threes throughout the game, including a few well beyond the high school line. He's the type of shooter that can catch fire at any given moment, and helped turn a close game into a comfortable lead for his team in the second half. Coming off of a 9.7 ppg junior season at Southwest Christian.

Santiago is a true floor general who impressed with his play on both ends of the floor yesterday with [program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury']. Offensively he's a pass first point guard who can handle it under pressure to get his team into their sets, and keeps the ball moving in the half-court. He was racking up assists with drive and kick passes, and finding his cutters slashing to the rim. Defensively he was the loudest player in the gym, as he was in constant communication with his teammates. Helped lead his team to a win in their opening game of the day.

Calvin has helped his [program_tooltip program_id='2075674' first='Minnesota' last='Heat'] team put together a 12 game winning streak this spring, with one of those wins coming yesterday against BTG. Calvin's second half was a big reason why the Heat pulled away, as he hit a pair of threes, scored in transition, had some assists off the drive, and was playing scrappy defense against opposing guards. He's been playing varsity at Roosevelt since his freshman season, and since then has done a nice job of adding strength and explosive athleticism to his 6'1 frame. Will be one of the better players in the Minneapolis City Conference in the winter.

Avery helped lead his [program_tooltip program_id='2075867' first='SW' last='Minnesota Stars'] team to an overtime win against Minnesota Lightning in the game I watched. He plays with change of pace that makes him so unpredictable on the ball, and did a nice job of looking off defenders with his eyes to open up his teammates. Avery was dropping some dimes throughout the game as he always had his eyes scanning the floor, and was able to make passes from tough angles off the dribble. Down the stretch Avery had success getting to his spots off the dribble for some clutch pull-up jumpers. Did get caught turning it over a few times by trying to do too much, but that risk taking also allowed him to be super productive throughout the game.

Ethan had a stretch of dominance in the game I watched on Saturday afternoon. At 6'8 he has broad shoulders and a strong frame, and was just about unstoppable catching anywhere near the basket. He could back defenders down into deep position and finish over the top with a baby hook, or pull in an offensive board and power his way up through traffic. Showed soft touch with his left hand to finish at a high rate. If that wasn't hard enough for defenders to stop, Ethan also stepped out and drained a three with confidence out on the wing. He's been one of the most consistently productive bigs I've seen this spring, and performed in a big way in front of a baseline filled with college coaches yesterday.

Xavier shot the lights out in a win over [program_tooltip program_id='2075704' first='MN' last='Rise'], and it didn't take long for Minot State to extend him an offer afterwards. The 6'2 guard was getting to any spot he wanted to off the dribble, or could run off a screen and quickly get off a shot off the catch. It didn't matter if he was pulling up from the elbow or from five feet behind the three point line, Xavier just didn't seem to be missing. Even showcased a nice face-up game, able to pin defenders on his back to catch, and then simply elevate to shoot if his man had their hand down.

Logan continues to impress this spring with [program_tooltip program_id='2075704' first='MN' last='Rise']. The 6'9 has been a big stock riser over the past couple of months, and had some nice moments yesterday against [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select']. Showed the confidence to go right at a 6'8 big out of the block, showing the touch to score over the top with either hand. Also competed on the glass for a put-back bucket. You won't see him step out onto the perimeter too often, but he did hit a pick & pop three, showing you do have to contest him on the top of the key. In one of the highlight plays of the day, Logan recovered back to protect the rim with a big block inside.
