Calvin has helped his Minnesota Heat team put together a 12 game winning streak this spring, with one of those wins coming yesterday against BTG. Calvin’s second half was a big reason why the Heat pulled away, as he hit a pair of threes, scored in transition, had some assists off the drive, and was playing scrappy defense against opposing guards. He’s been playing varsity at Roosevelt since his freshman season, and since then has done a nice job of adding strength and explosive athleticism to his 6’1 frame. Will be one of the better players in the Minneapolis City Conference in the winter.

guard. Peterson hit multiple 3-pointers showing enough range on his shot and probability of making shots when needed. He has a bit off the dribble in shot creation, and seems to be always looking up floor off rebounds. As a sophomore at Roosevelt he started all games but one and averaged 15.9 points per game.

Calvin had one of the best passes I saw all day, as he threaded the needle with a near full-court bounce pass hitting his teammate perfectly in-stride towards the basket. The sophomore out of Minneapolis Roosevelt did a nice job of sharing the ball with his teammates, and didn’t look like a player who just started his sophomore year of high school. Calvin was poised on the ball and showcased his three point shot that helped him have a productive freshman season last winter.
