April 25-27 I attended the EYBL first stop at the Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa. There were many talented teams and players being watched by almost every scouting service, NBA scouts and college coaches. The talent is fierce in the EYBL and as the old saying goes, you gain exposure or get exposed.

Here were some of the AZ Guard Standouts

[player_tooltip player_id='2241513' first='Lyris' last='Robinson'] Bella Vista Prep (AZ Unity 16 EYBL)

Robinson put his stamp on his stock and showed he can hang with anyone in his class. He has good size for a guard, he is quick to get downhill and takes contact well plus he will rattle in threes off the catch. He will take charges, rebound and make plays with a good feel. He will also take a few steps and flush it down way above the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='1555180' first='Delton' last='Prescott III'] Sunnyslope (AZ Unity 16 EYBL)

One of the top pace setters in the West Coast controls the tempo for his team and makes players around him better. He has deep three point range and can jet past his defenders and get into the teeth of the defense with his tight and shifty handle.

[player_tooltip player_id='1595670' first='Ikenna' last='Alozie'] Dream City Christian (Utah Prospects EYBL)

A high level combo guard is a top of the food chain athlete. He has a massive wingspan to keep his opponents in front of him and makes plays for his teammates. His go-to move is definitely a high level mid-range jumper off the dribble and creates the necessary space.

[player_tooltip player_id='2194476' first='Martray' last='Bagley'] Valley Prep (Paul George 15 EYBL)

A combo guard can play on or off the ball. He has an incredible build and frame for his class and uses it on both ends of the court. He will score with downhill drives and defend multiple positions from the PG spot to power forwards with his quicker twitch.

[player_tooltip player_id='1333653' first='Christopher' last='Brookins'] Bella Vista Prep (Vegas Elite EYBL)

An undersized pure point guard who will find teammates in stride. He will throw up the court passes and score with dribbles drives and pull-ups off the dribble. He had a few needle threaders and brings energy on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='1651788' first='Jakyi' last='Miles'] Mesa (AZ Unity 15 EYBL)

The bigger point guard plays at his own pace. There was so much speed on the court and he remained calm. He played good on-ball defense and he is a better passer than what he gets credited for. He will score it coast to coast with contact using his size, hit perimeter jumpers and get into the paint and find a teammate.

[player_tooltip player_id='2386978' first='Jaydon' last='Hayes'] Willow Canyon (AZ Unity 15 EYBL)

A strong framed scoring guard is stout on the ball defensively and can score. He will hit the catch three with a compact stroke, he can get downhill using a nice handle and frame and pull-up from mid-range off the dribble.

[player_tooltip player_id='2412268' first='Maurice' last='Carter II'] Willow Canyon (AZ Unity 15 EYBL)

An undersized scoring point guard is wired to score. He is a good passer and will drive and kick it perfectly into a shooting pocket. He is quick on the ball defensively and will drive the lane to score.

[player_tooltip player_id='2276223' first='Kingston' last='Montague'] Basha (Oakland Soldiers 15 EYBL) (Pictured)

One of the top scorers on 15U circuit that I viewed. He makes it look easy in stretches, with deep threes off the catches, quick drives to the basket, polished floaters and mid-range jumpers in bunches. He also has a good feel for making a play.

[player_tooltip player_id='2194481' first='Justin' last='Kimbrough'] Mountain Pointe (Oakland Soldiers 15 EYBL)

A pure point guard who will dissect a defense when needed but he was scoring in the game I viewed. He uses his yo-yo handle to burst past his initial defender and get to the basket. He will hit the three off the catch, he can hesitate and get to the rim plus pull-up from mid-range, which seems to be a sweet spot.

[player_tooltip player_id='994689' first='Noah' last='George'] Bella Vista Prep (AZ Unity EYBL)

An athletic combo guard plays on or off the ball. He digs in on defense and will hustle for the 50/50 balls. He can hit perimeter jumpers plus get out on the break and dunk it easily. He has a quick first step to get downhill.

[player_tooltip player_id='2211006' first='Jordan' last='Charles'] Bella Vista Prep (AZ Unity EYBL)

A scoring point guard is tough and skilled. He will score with and-1's after he blows by his opponents. He has really good court vision to facilitate and he will score. He hit a clutch three to send a game into overtime and he hit another clutch three in the teams 3rd game vs Houston Hoops in their win.
