Keaton took over in the second half to help lead [program_tooltip program_id='2076033' first='Wisconsin' last='Playmakers'] to a comeback win over Team Warwick. At 6'4, Keaton is a powerful wing/guard who is so difficult to matchup with. Put a quicker guard on him and Keaton can bully his way to the basket, but defend him with size and Keaton has the speed to beat you off the dribble. Late in the game he was getting face guarded, but still found ways to get on the ball, and get in the lane to make plays. Tough finisher inside who also has the vision to dump it off when a help defender slides in.

He may not catch your eye with flashy plays, but Javaun simply goes out and produces for this Real Phenom team. At 6'4 he can play out on the wing, or act as a small-ball forward, and he seems to always be in the right space at the right time for a teammate to find him around the basket. Whether he was beating his man with a backdoor cut, sprinting the floor in transition, or crashing the offensive glass, Javaun found ways to earn touches around the rim, and those touches often resulted in two points. When you combine Javaun's level of effort and athleticism into a 6'4 frame, you get efficient production.

DJ was one of the best passers I saw all weekend. Against Real Phenom he had a number of highlight reel assists, able to draw a defender away with his eyes before delivering a no look dime to a newly open teammate. DJ seemed to have eyes in the back of his head at times as he was driving into the lane and spotting the smallest of gaps to get the ball through to a teammate. It's not just the vision and accuracy though, but also DJ's decision making. Even when going full speed in transition he was consistently making the right choices on when to pass and when to keep it on his own.

Myles had a huge first half for WOTN in a win over Coulee United, and was coming up with big plays on both ends of the floor. Defensively he did a great job of standing his ground on the block, and preventing any deep post touches out of his man. From there he did a great job of contesting straight up, and forcing some awkward shot attempts. On the offensive end he showed range beyond the arc, but was better than I knew at attacking off the bounce. Myles could blow by a bad closeout and then make plays off two feet around the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='2118495' first='Talan' last='Witt'] was the engine powering Comets Elite's offense on Sunday morning. The Alexandria guard never seemed to run out of energy, and was looking to push the pace in transition. He racked up five assists in the win, including a pair of perfectly placed alley-oop passes to his 6'9 teammate. Talan can play fast, but doesn't get rushed, and that helps him make smart decisions when he gets downhill. Showed touch to finish over the top of defenders with a floater, and was someone who wanted the ball in his hands when the game was tight.

[player_tooltip player_id='2121367' first='Dre' last='Ellis'] had a monster first half helping lead [program_tooltip program_id='2078859' first='Starks' last='Elite'] past Power Circle. The Anoka guard put up 8 points within the opening 3-4 minutes of play, and didn't slow down much after that. He showed the signature quick release from beyond the arc that forced defenders to defend him tight out on the perimeter, but also showed continued improvements off the dribble. Dre does a nice job now of attacking bad closeouts, showcasing a quick first step to blow past guys to get to the rim. Quick burst to get off the floor and finish before a help-side defender can react.

Thomas was one of the best athletes in the building on Sunday. The 6'4 wing was a nightmare in transition, throwing down three dunks for [program_tooltip program_id='2075674' first='Minnesota' last='Heat'], including a pair right over a defender. If you let him get a full head of steam to the rim, he's going to take off and throw down with authority. Works hard to move his feet defensively, and at 6'4 his frame allows him to get up in passing lanes for steals. Thomas has been putting together an impressive run of play this spring.
