About Myles
Expert Analysis
Michael Herrick | Prep Hoops Scout
He is by far the most consistent player for WOTN Foley at this point in the season. Tietz gets downhill whenever he pleases and he shoots very well from behind the arc. Myles is very productive on the offensive end of the floor. During Battle At The Lakes, Tietz averaged 15 ppg while having 3 impressive scoring games with 17, 18, and 20 points. Keep eyes on this baller at the Hard Work Finals.

Tietz is a high-energy player who can impact the game in multiple ways. It feels like he’s always in the right place at the right time as he collects every loose ball and rebound in his area. The 6’5″ forward works hard on both ends of the floor to gain proper low-post positioning. Tietz sets solid screens, scores efficiently in and around the paint, and plays tough defense.

Myles had a huge first half for WOTN in a win over Coulee United, and was coming up with big plays on both ends of the floor. Defensively he did a great job of standing his ground on the block, and preventing any deep post touches out of his man. From there he did a great job of contesting straight up, and forcing some awkward shot attempts. On the offensive end he showed range beyond the arc, but was better than I knew at attacking off the bounce. Myles could blow by a bad closeout and then make plays off two feet around the basket.

Myles had a nice game helping lead his WOTN team past Chapman West. He took over in the second half, showing he can stretch the floor from three, post up opposing wings, or beat his man off the dribble and extend to finish at the rim. Does a nice job of moving without the ball to find himself in space to score. Hard working player who was relied upon to guard a number of spots defensively, while also providing an extra rebounding presence inside.
