DJ was one of the best passers I saw all weekend. Against Real Phenom he had a number of highlight reel assists, able to draw a defender away with his eyes before delivering a no look dime to a newly open teammate. DJ seemed to have eyes in the back of his head at times as he was driving into the lane and spotting the smallest of gaps to get the ball through to a teammate. It’s not just the vision and accuracy though, but also DJ’s decision making. Even when going full speed in transition he was consistently making the right choices on when to pass and when to keep it on his own.

Northstar Titans struggled to get much going on Friday night, but I thought DJ had some nice flashes. Defensively he was constantly applying pressure to the ball, showing good lateral quickness to stick with his man like glue. He showcased some quick hands to reach in and poke the ball free on multiple occasions. Offensively he has some shiftiness to get to his spots off the dribble, and was finding success drawing fouls to get to the free throw line.
