We are just days away from the first NCAA Live Period of 2025 and there are several 2026 and 2027 prospects who should expect their phones to ring with new schools after the period. While some of the bigger names are easier to identify at this point, there is some quality depth in the class that could see some new colleges start calling after next weekend.

Most coaches love a big wing shooter and Tommy matches that description perfectly. Standing 6'6 and having shot 49% from three as a Sophomore, Gregg will check a lot of boxes for coaches who are in the market for a player who can get hot from the perimeter as well as guard his position on the other end. Playing for a [program_tooltip program_id='2335148' first='Kentuckiana' last='Hoops'] team that is having success on the NXT circuit, look for Tommy to be a potential breakout candidate this summer.

Another long shooter, Myrick nearly joined the 50/40/90 club as a Sophomore after putting up shooting splits of 50/46/83. Braeden, like most Sophomores, needs to spend some time in the weight room but he shows flashes of serious potential and will only see his stock go up as he becomes more comfortable absorbing contact at the rim and getting to the free throw line more often. Keep an eye out for Myrick as a breakout player this spring and summer.

Colton led Scott County in most statistical categories as a Sophomore and has some physical tools and skill level that will catch your eye. Path forward, Helton is going to be an interesting prospect to track for several reasons. Colton has been coached by his parents at both the high school and AAU levels for the last 2 years. I'd be interested to see how he performs with a different voice on the sidelines. When I've seen Helton in camp settings, he tends to rise with the level of his competition. He's one of the biggest sleepers in this class because his potential is pretty high up there.

Carothers is in a unique situation moving forward. Looking ahead to his High School season, he's going to have a new coach and will be missing his running mate after [player_tooltip player_id='1513495' first='Luke' last='Beickman'] headed for Eastern Illinois. Dre'mail could be one of the biggest breakout candidates in Kentucky over the next 9 months as he has the physical tools to be a top player in Western Kentucky but has had to wait his turn to be the go to player for the Aces. Don't be surprised if Dre' starts to turn some heads this spring and summer and ride that momentum into his Junior season.
