The matchup against J'Lon was worth the wait. Both high major guards play didn't disappoint. Darrell is a bouncy and athletic guard, he was excellent in getting downhill and finishing strong on several occasions, embracing contact well. Davis has a quick first step to get defenders on his hip but also shows strong handles and the ability to finish well around opponents. He was truly an impressive playmaking guard that we had a chance to be a name that will be on the national stage for the next three years at Spire Academy.

I've have really enjoyed watching J'Lon develop as a player and putting his game on full display over the last 18 months, and he did so again in the battle against the talented [program_tooltip program_id='2077005' first='Team' last='Thrill'] 16U guards. J'Lon is an intriguing prospect, as we are eager to see what he ultimately becomes in the coming years. But he excels well in his ability to attack in transition and score off the bounce, finishing well inside and out, and proving to be a tough matchup for opponents each time he steps on the floor.

Byrd was a fun guard to watch, displaying creativity, craftiness, handles, and scoring capabilities on the court. He was a driving force for his team throughout the two games I watched, doing a great job in creating and penetrating, mixing it up offensively as a scorer, showcasing his ability to get by/around defenders, and being a playmaker for others. Looked comfortable being a shot-maker if it was needed.

Graves was impressive in the New World/[program_tooltip program_id='2077005' first='Team' last='Thrill'] game. The 6-4 two-way guard was comfortable in hunting for his shot, displaying the ability to hurt you from the perimeter knocking down the three when the opportunity presented itself was there. But his explosive nature in finishing at the rim and attacking downhill was quite impressive throughout the high intense [program_tooltip program_id='2077005' first='Team' last='Thrill'] game.

Brown is a smooth 6'4 prospect out of Mount Carmel, really has had a strong overall weekend here in Baltimore. He has been a true offensive weapon on the court, displaying IQ and feel, patience in being able to create, and flourishing as a prospect that he can be a true playmaker and shot maker at a high clip. Brown made his mark off the dribble, picking, weaving, and attacking downhill to get to the rim and finish with touch. Does a great job of getting where he wants and being an efficient presence knocking the perimeter jumper at a consistent rate.

Samartine' is arguably trending up as much as any of them. Samartine' is a sharp playmaker who sees the floor extremely well and consistently makes the right decision off the bounce. Shows complete control on the floor. Given its small stature in size don't let that fool you. Samartine' is a pit-bull on the ball defender. He's already an incredibly dynamic creator with excellent IQ, pace, and instincts with the ball in his hands.
