The DMV native made his first appearance of the season with AOT in Las Vegas and proved to be a prospect on the rise. Graves averaged nearly 25 points per game during a 3-1 weekend. The rising senior is very difficult for defenders to keep out of the paint and finishes in a variety of ways. He does a good job of getting to the free throw line and keeps defenders honest with his ability to knock down open shots from beyond the arc.

is an explosive guard who thrives at getting downhill. Graves found ways to put pressure on the rim in more ways than one— initiating the break and pushing the tempo in the open floor, using change of pace and navigating ball screens to deep in the lane, running the lanes in transition and getting ahead of the defense, and even using creativity off the bounce to break slower footed defenders down and finish in traffic at the basket. Countering that rim pressure with more consistent perimeter shooting has been a part of his game that’s seen growth over the last few months and he showcased that as well, stepping into a few in rhythm looks and knocking down outside shots with confidence from three point range.

Graves is a tireless scorer with great positional size at the lead guard spot and the ability to put points on the board in a variety of ways. Whether in transition or operating in the half-court, he consistently finds opportunities to attack and generate offense. Graves does a nice job getting downhill and drawing contact, leading to frequent trips to the foul line where he adds efficient points to his stat line. Defensively, he displays excellent instincts and timing, routinely jumping passing lanes to collect steals and quickly turning those takeaways into offensive opportunities. His combination of size, scoring ability, and defensive playmaking makes him a valuable two-way guard. With his production and versatility, Graves is a prospect who should be drawing significant attention from both low- and mid-major Division I programs.

Graves is a versatile wing that can score from any spot on the floor. He’s a high motor player that plays with an intensity that sets him apart on the court. His ability to get down hill and finish through contact makes him extremely difficult for opposing defenses to stop. Graves and Hudson Catholic are looking to have a big year this upcoming season.

-It’s all coming together for Graves as a dynamic combo guard prospect whose explosive scoring performances has led to recent offers from LSU and Seton Hall. Graves is at his best in transition as a shifty, strong guard that can either bully or maneuver is way to the rim to finish or draw free throws. I like that he’s finding opportunities to come off screens with pace but also reject or hide behind them to raise up for perimeter jumpers that splash through the net. Will be interesting to track his stock this summer with a New World team that really battled this weekend

has gotten off to an impressive start to the spring, demonstrating his ability to put pressure on the rim and finish in an abundant amount of ways around the basket— generating much of his offense by using his explosiveness to create driving lanes off the dribble and finish at the basket, while also thriving in transition by outrunning defenders for easy scoring opportunities. Graves pairs elite downhill speed with impressive body control and a sharp change of pace, allowing him to consistently get downhill. While he consistently excels at attacking the paint, Graves has also emerged as a more dependable perimeter shooter —an important aspect of his long term projection, displaying a smooth and repeatable catch and shoot stroke and showing improved efficiency from beyond the arc.
Graves has seen a pair of scholarship offers come in recent weeks— having Georgia Tech and Seton Hall extending offers, with additional programs expected to show interest, especially if Graves continues to put up impressive numbers on the 3SSB circuit.

Operated with a strong feel as a creator, consistently pushing the pace in transition and applying pressure by getting downhill with intent. What stood out most was his handle — tight, controlled, and confident — allowing him to navigate traffic, shift defenders, and create advantages off the dribble. He played with purpose, collapsing the defense and opening opportunities for others. On the glass, he contributed to finishing possessions, and offensively he showed a smooth stroke from three with good lift and range. His ability to handle, create, and make plays gave him a well-rounded and impactful presence.

When you give a scoring guard like Graves the green light, it only fuels his confidence and betters the chances of breakout games like he did in S1, most notably in his 25-point outburst against Atlanta Celtics when New World made a statement to the rest of the circuit coming out with the win. Graves led the charge in this game and ultimately throughout the weekend as New World went 4-0. He was much more than a tunnel vision scorer and while he’ll always remain aggressive in that aspect, did a nice job of leaving his fingerprints on the game as a rebounder and playmaker as well. To go with the 25 points against the Celtics, Graves also pulled in seven boards and dished out six assists. For the weekend, he boasted averages of 15.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 50 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from deep.

Graves may have changed his location for the high school season, but his mindset has remained. Getting buckets is what Graves does best and he was in his flow for spurts throughout this showing as a guard with sound positional size that attacked the rim with aggression and finished through harm. He has some twitch to tap into when he gets downhill that allows for crafty finishes and used his end-to-end speed to put pressure on the rim in transition. This New World group is still getting to learn each other’s strengths and weaknesses. The point guard position will play a big role in their success puzzle, but one thing that is for certain is Graves’ scoring capabilities at the combo guard spot.

wasted no time asserting himself in Hudson Catholic’s offense in his first year here in Jersey— consistently applying pressure on the rim in a multitude of ways, generating so much of his offense by leveraging his explosiveness to attack driving angles off the bounce and get to the basket while also pushing the pace in transition to beat defenders down the floor for easy finishes. Erupting for countless loud scoring performances, Graves combined blazing speed and strong body control while also utilizing sharp change of pace ability to consistently get downhill with efficiency in both transition and half court situations, a strength he showcased throughout entirety of his junior season. While consistently thriving attacking the paint, Graves also proved to be a more reliable perimeter threat as the season wained, a part of his skillset essential to his fit at the next level, showcasing a smooth and repeatable spot up shooting stroke and the ability to knock down shots from beyond the arc.
