Here are the top performers from Saturday's games in Batavia at Prep Hoops Windy City War from the state of Illinois!

[player_tooltip player_id='2385372' first='Noah' last='Corro'] Team Herro (St. Laurence) 2028

Exciting guard who doubled as a passer and scorer. Noah was shifty with the ball zipping passes to guys setting up in the corner for open shots. As the game opened up he looked to score himself hitting a trio of threes in the contest. The rest of his points came from the line as Corro attacked the lane. He finished the game with 16 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2842573' first='Blake' last='Choice'] IL Wolves (Depaul Prep) 2028

I was able to get my first look at Blake. He's a smooth guard who continuously gets to the basket off the bounce. At 6'3” he has the size and right skillset to be a major factor in the class. Blake showed he could make shots when defenders went under the ball screens. He has the right tools to become the next tier of players in a deep group.

[player_tooltip player_id='2334404' first='Tre' last='Watkins'] Paradise (Metea Valley) 2026

The most underrated player in the class put on a scoring clinic in the early evening game. He's an agile and athletic guard at 6'3 who can score from all three levels. Tre was consistent on his drives to the rim. Scoring layups in between taller defenders with acrobatic moves. A few times he was able to get dunks down the lane. Watkins also hit 4 threes to finish with 36 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1552460' first='Bryce' last='Wegrzyn'] [program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] (Libertyville) 2026

Wegrzyn is easily becoming the top post prospect in the soon-to-be senior class. He shows so much promise around the basket with good footwork and a soft touch around the rim. At 6'8 he is fundamental with either hand and doesn't struggle against taller players. His biggest draw is how well he shoots the three. Bryce hit three 3s in a very competitive game against Power 5. He scored 22 points in the game and hit the game-winning layup at the buzzer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125687' first='Travis' last='Brown'] IL Wolves (West Aurora) 2027

Brown is an electric guard who could be moving up the rankings with players leaving the state. He's starting to accept the role of point guard and was fun to watch this afternoon. Travis has quick hands and anticipates passing lanes very well. He created several turnovers that turned into points. Brown has a bright future.

Michael Nee [program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] (Glenbard East) 2026

I haven't wavered on this claim that Nee may be the best shooter in the state. He hit 5 threes not to mention two big shots to tie the game with the game clock under 30 seconds. He's a jittery guard who has a quick release but also can get to the cup with his first step. Michael finished with 17 points in the win.

[player_tooltip player_id='2542412' first='Chase' last='Kasten'] IL Wolves (Normal Comm.) 2028

A player who is starting to open eyes to how talented he can become. At 6'6 he's stretch forward that is bouncy around the rim when given space to leap. Kasten has some wing skill sets but is more suited as a post player right now. He led the 15U Wolves in scoring vs a very talented Power 5 team.

Kenaz Jackson 1 Dream (Kankakee) 2026

Jackson is a lengthy guard at 6'3 who plays under control and makes shots with guys in his grill. Kenaz is a player who will earn a reputation as a good glue guy because he can defend multiple positions and also contribute to games in different ways. With his length he rebounds well and is always a reach away from a blocked shot or steal. Jackson is having a good spring with the 1 Dream team as he's showing he can be a first or second-scoring option at any point.

[player_tooltip player_id='2467517' first='Darrius' last='Hawkins'] Team Herro (Homewood Flossmoor) 2028

Hawkins has been the highlight reel in every gym I've seen him at. His handles are tight and slick which is a huge draw to his game but what many don't mention is how well he scores in tight windows. Darrius puts a spin on the ball when getting to the basket which helps the ball kiss off the glass just right to score. He made several shots like this in an intense night game against [program_tooltip program_id='2452458' first='Ayo' last='Dos Elite']. Hawkins has shifted more into a passer with this Herro team which will help with his recruitment in the next few years.
