One of the more polished scorers in the 2028 class, Brooks can catch fire from 3-point range or use his quickness and slashing ability to score at the rim. A consistent performer, Brooks was a standout at our freshman showcase back in the fall and impressed when I saw Mansfield Senior this winter as well. Earning second team all conference honors, Brooks has already established himself as one of the top players in his area of Ohio. Look for Brooks to continue to make noise this grassroots season as his offensive talent is very impressive.

Roddy had one of the best debut performances I've seen from a freshman as he stepped up big for Reynoldsburg in their season opening win Vs Toledo Whitmer by providing a spark off the bench as a defender, athlete and slasher. One of the already more physically built freshman in the state of Ohio, Roddy is built to produce at a high level for a team that made the Division I state title game. With a few notable seniors graduating but still a pair of Division I commits set to return next season, Roddy should play a featured role on a Reynoldsburg squad that should still get a lot of attention around Ohio.

The Columbus City League has some impressive young talent and Johnson shows a lot of potential as a wing guard scorer with size and skill. I was impressed by the pace he played with, not getting sped up. I've been lucky enough to see Johnson at our Prep Hoops freshman showcase, the Midwest basketball club fall league and with Centennial during the high school season. The size, shooting ability and offensive flashes have me very intrigued by Johnson's ceiling once he fills out his frame. Name to monitor in central Ohio.

Our third standout from the freshman showcase back in the fall, Bentley is a very skilled guard who can light it up from downtown. As a freshman Bentley had eight games where he scored in double-figures for a Jonathan Alder squad that is always disciplined defensively. That defensive infrastructure paid off for Bentley this winter as he averaged 1.5 SPG. I'll be on the lookout for Bentley with the [program_tooltip program_id='2075761' first='Ohio' last='Buckets'] EYCL 15 U squad this summer as their roster is filled with intriguing talent from across the state.

I really liked what I saw from Davis defensively for La Salle as he was one of the only freshman to carve out a role on a GCL-South varsity squad. Still has some development to make offensively, especially as a shooter but I loved the defensive intensity he brought to the floor. Not many freshman are communicating on defense and being in the right spots as a help-side defender. Very intrigued to see how Davis develops offensively over the next few years.

It's very rare for a freshman to lead a team in scoring but Roark got busy this season averaging 16 PPG and having eight games over 20 points. A high volume perimeter operator, Roark likes to attack off the dribble and either pull-up or get to his spots in the mid-range. Not many freshman had more of a green light than Roark who fired away 211 times from 3-point range, just under 10 per game! Excited to see how Roark rounds out his game and how his prolific 3-point shooting ability translates when surrounded by other talented players.
