Top Players from the Buckeye Classic

He showed to be a leader and player who cared about every game as if it was the championship game. He plays hard and respects the game. His athleticism and skillset have peaked a lot of colleges eyes and this will only continue. He is the go-to guy on a loaded [program_tooltip program_id='2075761' first='Ohio' last='Buckets'] EYCL squad. I see why because of the energy and love for the game he brings. He rarely shot around the rim but seemed like he still shot 90% from the field. The ball barely seemed to touch the rim when he shot it. He was ready to shoot it when he was open and then put the ball on the floor one time to get to the open spot. He is 6'7 and can play the wing or center in any lineup. He is a versatile athlete who is so smooth, has great strides, and is quicker than you expect. He had a poster dunk in transition. His skill set matches this versatility with his touch. He is a great three-point shooter. Bertke is automatic from deep. He has a nice back-to-the-basket game as he is tough to contest to fade away. One of the most impressive players I saw on Saturday. This freshman can absolutely go. He can do whatever you ask from him on offense. He is a score-first guard and can do it from inside and out. He is a creative and acrobatic finisher at the rim with a great touch on the ball. He gets to the rim easily. He knocks down threes with efficiency. Smooth shot that you are kind of surprised when he misses. Then he has a high enough IQ when he gets going and the defense over helps with the ball in his hand he dishes to the open teammate. He has great court vision. He thrives with more weight on his shoulders surrounded by good players. He shows a great ability to get in the lane and create for himself and others. He has a really nice change of speed that gets him by the defense and into the 2nd layer. He does not seem to be playing too fast. He is a skilled player who can score from all three levels.
