Top 17U Bigs from the Buckeye Classic

His fluid movements continue to improve. He plays with a good pace and with the speed of the game. He was setting a lot of highball screens near the halfcourt line and running strong to the rim for buckets. He played with high effort and motor. He posts incredibly strongly and when he does post, he is always open. He is continuing to get stronger. He is an old-school throwback forward. There is nothing flashy about his game but he gets buckets at a high level. He is impactful in the post as a defender because he cleans the glass and plays so hard. He is a physical player and seems to play much bigger than he is. He is an explosive athlete with a wide strong build. He explodes to the rim for quick finishes. He can create for himself when needed but is the perfect player to drop it off to on the block as he has multiple different finishes he can go to. I like what he brings as a physically slashing wing. He is a mismatch for most teams because he brings a different level of strength. He finds his opportunities to score and goes for it aggressively. Hemphill attacks defensive rotations every time. He does not force. He is a monster on the boards. He is a great modern-day forward with his size and vertical ability. He has great leaping ability with a quick second jump. He explodes up and is a monster on the rim. He grabs a ton of boards and alters a ton of shots if he doesn't block him. He makes strong moves to the basket. He explodes vertically to the rim strong and finishes. He had some tough finishes in space and through contact. He is not scared of contact. His size and length are what you are looking for in a modern forward.
