The Prep Hoops Circuit visited Indiana this weekend and this gave grassroots teams the opportunity to get some early season action in. In this article we'll break down some 16 U standouts from Saturday morning's action.

Evans got going early for M14Hoops National 1 as they secured an early morning victory thanks to a 13-0 run late in the first half. Evans had multiple buckets in that run and showed his floor spacing ability. Late in the game when their opponents made a run, Evans had a sweet reverse pivot mid-range shot and helped close out the game by taking care of the basketball.

I liked the length Garner has on both ends of the floor as defensively he used it to contest shots defensively and secure rebounds while offensively he had a variety of extension finishes at the basket. Garner liked using the euro step to finish at the rim. Garner also had a key putback layup late in the game when his team made a surge to draw within a possession.

It was tough for the defense to stay in front of Jones as his quick first step and ability to attack going either direction made him tough to stop at the point of attack. While Jones could attack going either direction, he preferred to use his right hand at the rim when finishing. Defensively, Jones wanted to pressure the basketball which led to one steal and breakaway score in transition.

James was maybe the quickest guard I saw all day. Able to glide in transition, James had some sweet acrobatic finishes at the rim and was a blur when he attacked downhill. Defensively, James forced turnovers with his on ball pressure and allowed his team to run in transition.

The top prospect on [program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last='']'s 16 U group, Bolden was dominant on both ends of the court on Saturday. While Bolden has impressive physical tools and can finish above the rim on alley-oop passes, I was most impressed by his strong hands. Many young bigs struggle to secure contested entry passes or rebounds and when Bolden got a fingertip on the ball, he controlled it. A dominant force on the interior, Bolden is one of the most talented players I'll watch all weekend.

Sigmund caught fire from downtown in [program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last='']'s blowout victory to start the day and I give a lot of the credit to his teammates who found Sigmund when he was open with accurate and timely passes. A smooth and reliable shooting stroke from downtown, Sigmund was efficient with the looks he attempted. I also liked the decision making Sigmund showed on the ball, not forcing the issue.
