The DMV continues to churn out high level talent year after year, causing prospects to go a bit more under the radar as opposed to different hotbeds due to the volume of high-level guys. We wanted to start off by highlighting the rising senior class as they head into their last year of AAU basketball. To highlight some of those hidden gems, we will highlight several guys outside of our top 35 (or right on the line) that our staff thinks could make a big leap this summer. Let's dive in!

-One of the more cerebral point guards in the area, Burgdolf should be in for a big summer after a nice growth spurt has him shaping up to be a solid prospect. A heady playmaker that plays with good pace and excels in ball screen situations, he can also play off the ball attacking closeouts or knocking down open looks from the perimeter. Defensively, Burgdolf is fundamentally sound and is hard to headfake off his spot-- often disrupting driving paths to the basket and forcing dribble pickups or collecting steals. Love the way he sees the floor in the open court or in the halfcourt getting his team into their offense.

-Ferocious on-ball defender that prides himself in shutting down opposing guards with explosive quickness in the halfcourt. Carson anticipates crossovers, shots, and passes extremely well by shading his opponents with his hands to collect deflections and steals. Love his motor and energy at both ends of the floor, fully expect college coaches to feel the same way.

-Douglas can really fill it up in the halfcourt and Potomac's system is geared towards him getting off clean looks from the perimeter. Love his shiftiness with the ball in his hand and he has a knack for drawing fouls in the halfcourt. His ability to score in bunches makes him a guard that needs to be at the top of scouting reports.

-Tough, quick, aggressive point guard that really affects the game at both ends of the floor. Stemberger plays an old school brand of basketball, getting to his spots to run the offense efficiently without turning the ball over. Stemberger chooses his spots well and knows when to be assertive in attacking the outside shoulder and get to the rim.

-A bucket. A walking bucket. Iscandari utilizes a ferociously-quick first step to blow by his matchup and get to the rim or get to his spots in the halfcourt. His footwork and timing coming off of ball screens tight leads to a lot of advantage creations in the halfcourt. Iscandari is probably at his best in transition, pushing the pace and making his mind up on his decision before he breaks the 3 point line.

-Another player with an old school, throw back type game. Bahr is pretty effective in post touches on the low block, scoring with either hand over smaller guards with a polished set of footwork finishing moves around the rim. The rising senior also rebounds the ball very well for his size and position, earning himself easy putback opportunities and trips to the FT line with his energy. Bahr can also score it at a high clip from the perimeter, knocking down open looks and using a smooth pump fake to get his defender off balance.
