The grassroots season is officially underway and we hit the ground running on the Prep Hoops Circuit with “The Stage” at The Farmers Bank Fieldhouse in Lebanon. After three days in the gym, the Prep Hoops team got to see multiple prospects from many different states all in one roof. Through the weekend, I myself got to see multiple teams and was able to see many standouts. Here is part three of my standout list.

[player_tooltip player_id='2477117' first='Dayton' last='Stephens'] was one of the more interesting players I saw at The Stage over the weekend. At 6'5, he is a long and lanky forward that has bounce to his game and showed that a little for [program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last=''] 17u over the weekend. I liked how he played in transition on both ends and was contesting a lot of shots on defensive end. I think there is some untapped potential in his offensive game, as well.

There may not have been a more powerful rebounder that I watched this past weekend at The Stage. Smith has always had the size and natural strength since he came into high school and he still uses that to his advantage. Really physical around the rim and just takes so much pride when it comes to rebounding.

Era Elite 2028 is a AAU team to get to know this summer because man, they have some impressive underclassman and it starts with New Albany guard [player_tooltip player_id='2823963' first='Kyron' last='Johnson']. He is on the shorter end at 5'8 but he is very quick on the ball and had some of the best court vision I saw at The Stage. He works well off of screens and was ultra aggressive attacking the lane if given the chance. Tons of upside in Johnson.

If you want to talk about a guy that just plays hard, that is 2028 forward [player_tooltip player_id='2797646' first='Mason' last='Longest'] out of Jeffersonville. Another player on the fun Era Elite 2028 squad, Longest showed a lot of strength as an underclassman and was very active on the defense end. Offensively, right now he is more of a guy that likes to battle down low so it will be interesting to see if a jumper comes down the line. Liked his effort overall.

The 6'1 guard out of Austin High School had one of the highest motors I saw on over the weekend at The Stage. [player_tooltip player_id='2538909' first='Tracen' last='Roush'] was yet another standout player from the Era Elite 2028 squad and showed some really nice handles for his taller size at the guard spot. Showed a little bit of everything like being a willing rebounder and shooting it from long range. A guy to keep an eye on moving forward this AAU season.
