Take a look at some names to watch over the next year in the 2027 class.

The 6-foot-9 forward has the instincts to get into passing lanes and block shots, he does a good job rebounding and getting position under the hoop. At his size, he moves pretty well too and has shown the touch to hit the midrange shot with good consistency. He'll need to get stronger and develop some go-to post moves to be a bigger threat on the offensive end, but he shows a lot of potential to be a two-way impact player and should get bigger minutes next fall after going in and out of O'Dea's starting five this past season.

Haselrig's an athletic 6-foot-9 forward who has flashed some big play potential with his leaping and above-the-rim finishing. He runs the floor well, is a big-time alley-oop threat, and has some shot-blocking in his game. He's also shown the ability to hit from time to time from 3-point range, and I wouldn't be surprised to see that become a bigger part of his game as time goes on. He'll need to get stronger in the post, but he has loads of potential.

Hunt had a huge year with Lake Washington, averaging 20.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game. He took off offensively, showing the ability to hit from each level, but really impressing with his paint scoring. He's a guard who sees angles well, can score through contact, and has the super focus needed to score over bigs by the rim. His ability to weave through defenses and find space in traffic to make plays was key to the Kangs' big season.

Armstrong put together an outstanding season in the state's toughest league. He's got the strength and short space burst to beat his man from the blocks in several ways and was easily one of the most physical forwards in his class this year. He's a tough rebounder, hard worker, and showed no fear going at some of the top bigs in the state this season. He'll be a kid to track who could continue his quick rise up the rankings, and it looks like he has the "it" factor that coaches look for.

This guy just consistently makes the simple plays, and his big motor and athleticism help him stay in position time after time to make those plays. At 6-foot-7, he's an excellent rebounder with strong hands and good leaping ability. He's shown he can efficiently score around the rim, hit those short to midrange shots off the catch or the bounce, and is an above-the-rim finisher when he can get downhill. He flashed over the season with some eye-popping plays and should be in for a big spring.

He's a highly instinctual player who has all the qualities you look for in a point guard. At Sunnyside, he's relied on to score the rock, but he's always playing under control on the attack and is able to locate the right pass and keep a great awareness of where his teammates are and how the defense is reacting. Those instincts help him not only be a great playmaker on both ends, but put him in position to make the little things become big, whether that's sneaking in for an offensive rebound, recognizing opportunities to push the ball up the floor, or moving to space without the ball.

Here's a batch of high-potential risers in the 2027 class who took the next step forward in their development this season. We have bigs, wings, and playmaking point guards. Take a look at some names to watch over the next year in the 2027 class.
