Expert Analysis
Ryan Morgan | Prep Hoops Scout
Haselrig makes his debut in the 2028 class after recently reclassifying down from the 2027 class. He’s was already a high-profile post prospect and has really started to take a big step forward with his physical development. He’s gotten stronger, has become a more steady rim defender, and continues to be an above the rim finisher. He’s filled in some gaps in his offensive approach too, showing some better touch on short shots, and displaying a more poised and diverse attacking style from the blocks. Haselrig picked up his first D-I offer from Cal State Northridge this spring.

Haselrig’s an athletic 6-foot-9 forward who has flashed some big play potential with his leaping and above-the-rim finishing. He runs the floor well, is a big-time alley-oop threat, and has some shot-blocking in his game. He’s also shown the ability to hit from time to time from 3-point range, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see that become a bigger part of his game as time goes on. He’ll need to get stronger in the post, but he has loads of potential.

Haselrig is a promising prospect who has shown a lot to like early on. He has good hands on both ends of the court; catching passes inside, blocking shots at the rim. He’s a focused finisher inside, shows good awareness moving around the paint without the ball, and is a strong rebounder. He also has a lot of potential with his outside shot and should be a name who continues to rise up the ranks.

Haselrig is a forward I’m really intrigued with. He has all the length and instincts to play big at the rim, makes the highlight blocks and dunks but also has nice touch with baby hooks. He has shown he can step out and hit the outside shot too. He could be a name that keeps rising into next season.

A hidden gem out in Hanford who made the most of his minutes. Has a real nice-looking stroke from 3-point, moves extremely well without the rock to find gaps inside and has the length at 6-foot-7 to capitalize on space near the bucket. Moves pretty well for his size too and shows good activity on both ends of the floor. Another kid who could make a much larger impression next season.
