Haselrig makes his debut in the 2028 class after recently reclassifying down from the 2027 class. He's was already a high-profile post prospect and has really started to take a big step forward with his physical development. He's gotten stronger, has become a more steady rim defender, and continues to be an above the rim finisher. He's filled in some gaps in his offensive approach too, showing some better touch on short shots, and displaying a more poised and diverse attacking style from the blocks. Haselrig picked up his first D-I offer from Cal State Northridge this spring.

Hotter-Knight is another big man in this 2028 class who picked up his first D-I offer this spring, also from Cal State Northridge. The Garfield post has a big frame at 6-foot-9 and has shown some unique flashes of his ability to attack with the ball and be used in actions away from the hoop. He's got enough of a handle to fake a handoff and get going downhill, and has started to take his time more while operating in close. It will be interesting to see how he continues to mature physically in his upcoming junior season.

Gimlin was quietly one of the top scorers on the east side of the state this past winter, averaging over 18 points a game at Clarkston. The 6-foot-5 wing has a pure shot; smooth release, great rotation, and has the type of length that accentuates his ability to pull-up from different levels, while also extending windows for catch-and-shoot looks. He's also flashed some above the rim finishing and the mindset to play though some contact.

Dennard came over to Garfield late in the winter season, but proved to have an immediate impact with some big production down the stretch. He's a physical kid with some natural strength and size. Has a good looking shot that could translate to more floor-stretching and catch-and-shoot looks next winter.

Selders is a strong post who earned first-team honors in the Wesco North this winter. He averaged 15.2 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 2.5 steals per game. Selders has the toughness and footwork to work inside and from the low block, and even at just 6-foot-3, he showed his effectiveness in the paint this past season. He's got the ability to play at his pace, exhibit some patience with the rock, and will make good decisions with the ball.
