South Dakota 2028 Rankings: ELITE Class

<p>The long-awaited and highly-anticpated South Dakota 2028 rankings update has hit the Prep Hoops Dakotas site!</p>   <p>After diving deeper into the 2028 class for this rankings update, all I have to say is, Wow is the future bright in South Dakota high school boys basketball! The more I learn about the the 2028 class and discover more talent, the 2028 class is becoming the best and deepest in South Dakota — by a long shot. Best class I've seen in my few years of scouting South Dakota high school basketball. I don't want to overreact, but this class is VERY special. ELITE<br></p>   <p>The 2028 class offers everything and it possesses more height, length, and size than any class I've scouted for boys high school basketball in South Dakota. The size in this class and how many prospects that are already 6'5”+ is actually very surprising and quite rare. We have some 6'7” prospects and a couple prospects that are already 6'8”. That's not to mention that their are a plethora of strong guard prospects as well. <br></p>   <p>I'm not seeing a big number of D1 prospects, with [player_tooltip player_id='1655914' first='Sullivan' last='Felberg'] being one, then I think one or two more may emerge if things go well. The exciting part is is that there is an insanely deep pool of prospects with D2/high-end NAIA potential pretty far down the board. If I'm a college coach, I'm heavily targeting this class and really getting to know and understand it.</p>   <p>In the debut of the 2028 class rankings, we opened with 40 ranked prospects, including a long watchlist. We added 10 to the rankings for a list of 50. There were many high-end additions deserving of Top 50 status, but I want to see them more before placing them.</p>   <p>With it being such a crazy-deep class, it's also one of my most challenging classes to rank. In some or most cases, I elected to go with size/height/length as a final tiebreaker on close prospects. And of course comparing guards to Bigs, the Bigs won out a majority of the time.
