Prep Hoops Indiana: Sectional 11 Semifinal X-Factor

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the top Sectionals in the state this season takes place in Avon this week with sectional 11. After stunning upset to host Avon on Tuesday night, we are now at the semifinal round of this Sectional on Friday. On Friday, we will see two great games first between Ben Davis vs Pike followed by Brownsburg vs Plainfield. I, Kyler Staley, will be in attendance at Avon on Friday to provide full coverage. When Pike goes up against Ben Davis, Hill is going to have his work cut out for him going against a Ben Davis front court that has a lot of depth to them. Hill started to breakout in the regular season with scoring over 10.0 ppg game but showed why he is such a difference maker on the defense end with his ability to protect the rim at a high level. Pike is a younger team that has a lot of potential these next few years. With Zackery missing the entire year, many players have stepped up into bigger roles and shined and one of those players that have put together a very strong season is fellow senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2277726' first='Jahmir' last='Avery']. Avery has taken on the role of lead guard and main facilitator of the Giants leading the team in assist. It was a team effort in that game but if the Bulldogs want to earn another upset, they are going to need guys to step up once again. The player I feel could be an X-Factor this game for them is senior wing [player_tooltip player_id='1297065' first='Joreim' last='Lomax']. We have seen at times that Lomax is capable of making some big time shots using his long frame on the wing. For Plainfield, Gilliatt is the players that makes them run in many ways being a guy that sets up his teammates such as [player_tooltip player_id='1561513' first='Noah' last='Smith'] or [player_tooltip player_id='2267048' first='Harper' last='Baker-Lands'] while also being a guy that can get buckets of his own.
