The Cintas Center was the location for three regional finals as Lakota West took on Cincinnati Fairfield to start the day, Cincinnati Aiken rematched Trotwood Madison from earlier this season and Cincinnati Wyoming looked for revenge Vs Kettering Alter from last season. In this article I'll break down the standout performers from a loaded day of hoops.

I was really impressed with the activity Curry showed in a big-time game, it's very rare you see an underclassmen make hustle plays and a defensive like Curry did on Saturday. As a slasher, Curry got to the rim and had some big time finishes at the basket. Also in a close game, going 4/4 from the foul line could be the difference. Curry also grabbed two offensive rebounds and was active throughout the game. Strong performance by the Sophomore on the big stage.

If you want to go far in March, you usually are relying on seniors stepping up and making plays. That's what Meade-Moss did early as he came out the gates firing with a huge slam dunk to get the Lakota West faithful on their feet in the first half. Meade-Moss also knocked down the only 3-pointer Lakota West made all game. Leading the team in scoring with some clutch free throws late, Meade-Moss made winning plays that seniors usually come in clutch for their teams to help Lakota West win the region.

Clemmons impressed as a rebounder in his final high school game. With the height advantage in the paint, Clemmons used that to his advantage as he was able to end possessions on the defensive end of the court and also get extra possessions offensively. With his size in the middle Clemmons takes up a lot of space and made it difficult for Lakota West to score at the rim on a day where they couldn't knock down much on the perimeter.

I noticed Carr-Short in the regular season battle with Trotwood Madison and wrote his name down as a player to monitor for the future. The future came fast as on Saturday in the regional final, Carr-Short made some massive plays and finished with 9 points on 4/4 shooting, helping his team outscore the Rams by 14 points in his 11 minutes of game action. With his size, length, athleticism and potential to shoot the basketball, I'm very intrigued by the long-term upside Carr-Short showed on Saturday.

When Kettering Alter took their last lead of the game in the fourth quarter, that was Evans time to take over the game and make timely shots to help the Cowboys get revenge after last season's blowout loss to Alter in this same round of the playoffs. When you can space the floor and confidently knock down shots it changes how the defense can guard you and Evans hit two of Wyoming's three 3-pointers in the contest. I was also impressed with a couple touch shots he made in the mid-range and floater area while also taking care of the basketball and making the smart play. True team effort from Wyoming as their four Junior starters will be back next season but they have their sights set on a state title this year.

Tremendous performance from Connor in his last career game for Alter. A great run for the senior class as they won a state title last season and picked up a conference title and regional finalist this season. Connor made some timely shots from the outside, had a breakaway dunk and overall made a big impact on both ends of the court. A prospect with a ton of upside long-term, I'll be curious to see how his college career pans out as things really just started to click for him about 14 months ago. When you consider his impressive rate of improvement, sky is the limit for what he can accomplish down the road.
