Clemmons impressed as a rebounder in his final high school game. With the height advantage in the paint, Clemmons used that to his advantage as he was able to end possessions on the defensive end of the court and also get extra possessions offensively. With his size in the middle Clemmons takes up a lot of space and made it difficult for Lakota West to score at the rim on a day where they couldn’t knock down much on the perimeter.

Not too many players combine the size and shooting ability of Clemmons. Drawing interest from college programs at a variety of levels, it’s easy to see why college programs would be drawn to Clemmons skillset. This winter will be a big season for Clemmons who has the tools to be one of the top rebounders and shot blockers in the Cincinnati area. Fairfield will be relying on a big year from Clemmons in the paint defensively as their guards can thrive in transition off misses and steals. Will be interesting to follow Clemmons progress this winter.

Harrison didn’t have the size to battle with Clemmons in the paint and he did a good job attacking rebounds off the rim and high pointing the basketball. Also showing his potential as a pick and pop big, Clemmons knocked down two 3-pointers on the wing. Defensively is where Clemmons will need to take the next step defending in space. He has the body to be physical in the paint already and will be tested on the 3SSB circuit against some of the top bigs in the country.

These two prospects started for Fairfield last season and are household names in the Cincy region. I expect a few more of their 2025 teammates to establish themselves this summer as the Indians reload in the tough GMC. Sanders recently received his first offer from Youngstown State University.

Being patient with young bigs is a must and Clemmons is an example of a prospect I’m being patient with after a freshman season on JV. I watched Clemmons in Kentucky during the June live period and was really impressed with the progress he’d made since the spring. Clemmons is legit 6’8, 6’9 with long arms and a fluffy body that can add strength and size. Clemmons also shoots an easy ball from the outside, capable of making shots. Clemmons is a work in progress but the size and shooting ability have me buying in that he’ll continue to figure out the rest of the skills needed to be a more impactful player. Clemmons is projected to start for a Fairfield squad hoping to defend their GMC crown, that varsity experience will be huge for the development of Clemmons.
