Prep Hoops Indiana had boots on the ground coverage of five Regional games at four different sites on Saturday really driving home our favorite quote, "nobody provides coverage like Prep Hoops Indiana." My travels took me from a Class 1A Regional at Martinsville High School, to a Class 3A Regional at Washington High School, and then finally a Class 4A Regional at Southridge High School. It was pretty awesome getting to see so many historic gymnasiums and, obviously, some great basketball along the way. Let's focus on a handful of the more under-the-radar prospects that we saw during our Saturday travels.

There is so much talent on this Jeffersonville team, led by three Division I players, that you need other guys who are willing and able to simply excel in their roles. That is what leads to winning championships and Boyd does that for the Red Devils. He was excellent leading the break in transition a few times on Saturday and finished with five assists in Jeffersonville's 65-40 win over Evansville Harrison.

Buck has been the anchor of this Hauser team all season long leading the 24-3 Jets in both scoring (14.3 points per game) and rebounding (5.9 rebounds per game). Statistically, it was the 6'5" senior big man's best game on Saturday, but a couple of super athletic two-handed dunks showcased why there were multiple Division III coaches in the stands to watch him play.

Evansville Memorial just couldn't get the three-point shots to fall that they needed in order to knock off Brownstown Central at the Hatchet House on Saturday afternoon. However, while the primeter shots weren't falling, Kendrick did his part to lead a bit of a Memorial comeback in the second half by getting to the rim. Kendrick finished by scoring 10 of his 14 points in the second half. His athleticism, downhill quickness, and on-ball defense stood out in this contest.

When we went down to Brownstown Central High School to watch them play Charlestown in the regular season Pendleton showed off his ability to stretch the floor. He hit two more three-point shots on Saturday, but also got some work done around the basket finishing with 12 points and 6 rebounds. He has really emerged as someone for small college programs to keep an eye on next season.

There weren't a whole lot of bright spots for Evansville Harrison on Saturday as they lost to Jeffersonville 65-40. However, Speer stepped up and scored 7 points in the game and appeared to be pretty comfortable handling the ball and operating offensively agains the otherwise overwhelming size, athleticism, and constant pressure of the Red Devils.

Hauser has had such a good season and has enough under-the-radar talent in the senior class that it was well worth the trip to start the day at Martinsville. The Jets moved on with a 70-52 win over Indianapolis Lutheran as Tungate helped to lead the way finishing with 12 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists. His explosive athleticism stood out the most. Tungate is an excellent driver, attacks closeouts at a high level, and then plays up around the rim as a finisher. That athleticism is what made him such an effective rebounder as well.

Admittedly his buckets came in the fourth quarter after some substitutions, but we've seen Wilkerson start games for the Red Devils this season as well. The 6'2" sophomore wing is definitely one to remember as Jeffersonville gets hit with the graduation of eight seniors following this season.
