The 5A State Tournament finished up last weekend at Linfield University and after three days of competitive games, #9 seed La Salle came away with the unexpected title. Here's a quick look at the players that made the All-Tournament teams and their performances.

First Team

[player_tooltip player_id='1368276' first='Cole' last='Hammack'] (2025 Wilsonville)

Stats: 17.0 ppg, 6.3 apg, 2.0 spg, .862 ft%

One of two unanimous selections for the All-Tournament Team, Hammack carried the Wildcats on his back during the three days at Linfield. The 5-foot-10 senior certainly did the job scoring but also led the tournament in assists, doing a great job of balancing out finding his own offense and setting up teammates. Everything was thanks to how well he got to the basket and created - which was shown by how he led everyone in free throws made (25) and attempted (29). Hammack has been drawing plenty of D-II/NAIA college recruiting interest.

[player_tooltip player_id='2211742' first='Riggy' last='Khyungra'] (2027 La Salle)

Stats: 15.0 ppg, 3.0 apg, .513 fg%

The team's leading scorer in the tournament, Khyungra didn't necessarily look to pile on the points but rather took what the defensive gave him and also looked to set up teammates. His 16 points led the Falcons in the semifinals but it was his 5 assists - finding teammates like [player_tooltip player_id='1910901' first='Vance' last='Sheffield'] for open threes - that made the ultimate difference. The sophomore guard's quickness created fits on the defensive end as well, helping lead to numerous turnovers in La Salle's pressure defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1951856' first='Jaxon' last='Lawson'] (2026 Canby)

Stats: 17.0 ppg, 5.0 apg, 2.7 spg, .486 fg%, .500 3pt%, .692 ft%

Lawson led the way for Canby in their run to and through the 5A state playoffs, and had an outstanding three days in Linfield. The junior guard masterful controlled the basketball at the point, shooting it well from the perimeter to bust zones but also getting the ball to others for scores, making great decisions in transition. His quickness helped generate turnovers as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2046424' first='Gavin' last='Aguilar'] (2025 West Albany)

Stats: 14.7 ppg, 4.3 apg

Aguilar closed out a great high school career helping lead the Bulldogs to 4th place, fully blending his ability to score at multiple levels and distribute the basketball to teammates in an even way. His all-around game was the difference in both West Albany wins in the consolation rounds, and his leadership skills were evident whenever he was on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2458212' first='Ryder' last='Grieb'] (2025 Summit)

Stats: 12.0 ppg, 10.0 rpg, 3.7 apg, 3.7 apg

Grieb put together an extremely consistent three days in Linfield. He provided versatility offensively but was also a presence on the boards - grabbing double digit rebounds in all three games - and was also effective with his interior passing. The 6-foot-5 senior fully utilized his athleticism and motor to be a force on both ends, certainly raising his recruiting profile for small colleges looking to add to their roster.

Second Team

[player_tooltip player_id='2364071' first='Jack' last='Brauckmiller'] (2027 Canby)

Stats: 8.0 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 4.7 bpg, .667 fg%,

Canby became a different team when Brauckmiller was healthy enough to join the team mid-season and his impact was unquestionable during the tournament. The 6-foot-6 post was dominant on the boards - especially on the offensive glass - and on defense as the tourney's top shot-blocker, recording 6 in the opening game against Crescent Valley. An incredible athlete, the sophomore big man ran the floor extremely well and was rewarded with easy buckets.

[player_tooltip player_id='1770295' first='Will' last='Jenson'] (2025 Caldera)

Stats: 18.0 ppg, 15.0 rpg, 2.0 bpg, .684 fg%

Jenson only got to play in two games as #1 Caldera unfortunately bowed out of the tournament early, but there was no question he dominated individually on the court. He was a force in the paint on both ends and in the consolation semifinals, posted a big game of 21 points, 18 rebounds, and 3 blocks on 8-for-11 field goal shooting. Jenson recently made a college commitment to the University of Idaho.

[player_tooltip player_id='2819980' first='Rowan' last='Blossey'] (2025 Summit)

Stats: 8.7 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 2.3 apg

Arguably the heart and soul of the Storm at the 5A Tournament was Blossey, who put his heart and body on the line in every contest. He was aggressive trying to create off the dribble, made a number of clutch plays - notably the game-winner in the semifinals - and really got after it on the defensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450155' first='Aidan' last='Kelly'] (2025 La Salle)

Stats: 9.3 ppg, 5.7 rpg, .500 fg%

The main inside presence for the 5A champs was Kelly, who also provided a threat from the perimeter with his outside jumper. His ability to rebound and defend both inside and out was most critical for the Explorers though and his toughness matching up helped give La Salle an edge.

[player_tooltip player_id='2519149' first='Will' last='Manfredi'] (2025 Summit)

Stats: 10.7 ppg, .389 3pt%

One of the top perimeter shooters in the event was Manfredi, but perhaps more important than the sheer number of shots he hit were how he hit them in clutch situations. His cold-blooded three in the final helped cap an incredible Storm comeback and almost helped take them to a repeat championship.
