Reidsville comes in unbeaten and as the top-seed in the East region of the NCHSAA 2A field.

East – Top 5 Seeds

1) Reidsville (25-0) - Last year's 2A Champions come into this year's playoffs unbeaten and prime for another title led by [player_tooltip player_id='1716474' first='Dionte' last='Neal'], USC-Aiken commit [player_tooltip player_id='1382077' first='Johnniyus' last='Sharpe'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1628346' first='Kendre' last='Harrison']. They'll be a tough out in this year's field given their all-around strength and winning pedigree.

2) Randleman (23-1) - With just one loss on their record, the Tigers are no slouch led by [player_tooltip player_id='2449236' first='Tyshaun' last='Goldston'] and Chase Farlow. They'll look to keep their winning streak going as they've won 12 straight games coming into the playoffs.

3) North Surry (22-4) - The Greyhounds have won 12 games and counting heading into the NCHSAA 2A State Playoffs. [player_tooltip player_id='2843411' first='Fisher' last='Leftwich'] and Kam McKnight have carried most of the load on the scoring front while [player_tooltip player_id='2521046' first='Cade' last='Atkins'] has been a force on both ends in the backcourt. They're a well-coached group who could surprise a few in the East region.

4) Salisbury (23-3) - The Hornets haven't lost any steam with [player_tooltip player_id='1916752' first='Myles' last='Smith'], Braylon Taylor and Tim Davis III leading the way. They've won 22 straight games as they host Morehead (11-15) in the first round. They're an energetic group who gets after it defensively.

5) Maiden (21-5) - Maiden comes in at No. 5 and fresh off a conference tournament championship loss to Lincolnton (70-69). [player_tooltip player_id='2093864' first='Raheim' last='Misher'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2093879' first='Landen' last='Lyerly'] will have a lot to play for, both as unsigned seniors and leaders for this group. If they beat East Surry in the first round, they have the potential to face rival Lincolnton once again in the second round of the 2A NCHSAA State Playoffs.

West – Top 5 Seeds

The West region will be an interesting one in the NCHSAA 2A.

1) Farmville Central (20-4) - The Jaguars have won 13 straight games and are eager to get back to the championship game after last year's overtime battle against Reidsville. Eastern Kentucky commit [player_tooltip player_id='1707110' first='MJ' last='Williams'] has been tough to defend and [player_tooltip player_id='1411208' first='Jordan' last='James'] looks prime to show off what he can do on the playoff stage.

2) Southwest Onslow (21-3) - [player_tooltip player_id='1990353' first='Rue' last='Chapman'] and Malekhi Hutchinson have proven to be quite the pairing in the Stallions attack while Carlos Pagan is emerging as a young 2027 prospect to know given his two-way presence. Look for their scrappy defense and methodical offense to play a role should they make a deep run.

3) Northwood (25-2) - Don't be surprised to find them in the Final Four given their coaching and the growing star power of [player_tooltip player_id='1411220' first='Cameron' last='Fowler'] in their rotation. They've won 14 games and counting coming into their first-round meeting with Camden County.

4) West Bladen (23-1) - Another surprising seed at No. 4 given their record, but they'll have a tough second-round meeting should the Washington PamPack, a 13-seed, advance in their matchup against Greene Central. [player_tooltip player_id='2418471' first='Chase' last='Williams'], [player_tooltip player_id='2500145' first='Jackson' last='Pait'] and Hezekiah Adams are a dangerous trio and seemingly, they've been given the fuel with their seed.

5) Northeastern (21-2) - Z'kobe Whidbee, [player_tooltip player_id='1220134' first='Tyell' last='Saunders'], Jakell Stallings and [player_tooltip player_id='1226597' first='EJ' last='Sutton'] are playing their best basketball heading into the NCHSAA State Playoffs. They've won 13 straight games and are a force to be reckoned with when they're locked in defensively.
