Lyerly saw his stock rise on the hardwood in the 828 area this season. He was a new face who fit in the Maiden frontcourt well given his penchant for protecting the painted area. He produced 14.3 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.4 blocks per game as a presence in the paint and beyond this season. Given his size and production, he’s got potential to make a splash at the next level, if he doesn’t choose the gridiron first, that is.

Lyerly continues to be a presence on the PH radar over at Lincolnton High. He posted 13.8 points, 11.7 rebounds and 3.1 blocks per game while putting together 18 double-doubles for the Wolves as a junior. He’s a physically imposing presence at 6-foot-6 who’s shown he can make things happen around the painted area on both ends of the floor with his size and frame.

Lyerly was an interior presence to admire this weekend for Carolina Charge, as they made the finals of the Orange bracket. He’s a burly 6’6, with plenty of strength and physicality to help bury people in the post and under the rim. Showed off his ability to act as a post passer and facilitator with his back to the basket as well. Really good touch around the basket, with an ability to either get to the cup or hit short jumpers out of the post.

Landen Lyerly Landen Lyerly 6'6" | PF Maiden | 2025 State NC is slowly beginning to emerge at Lincolnton High in North Carolina’s 2025 class. He’s a sizeable big man at 6-foot-6, 215 pounds who carving out quite the role for himself in the frontcourt. He’s producing 10.4 PPG, 13.0 RPG and 5.2 BPG including a 15-point, 16-rebound, 10-block effort against Stuart W. Cramer High. He’s emerging as a force to be reckoned with in the painted area on defense as the Wolves are off to a 4-0 start.
