<p>In <em>Maine</em>, the state tournament is well under way. In fact, each class is down to it's final four competitors as they prepare for regional finals weekend.</p>

<p>Below, we'll take a look at who still stands, the match-ups on tap, and a few notable prospects from each region and class.</p>

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">Class AA</span></strong></p>

<p>In the <em>North</em> it'll be <em>Windham</em> and <em>Edward Little</em> playing for the title. <em>Windham</em> (16-4), the defending <em>Class AA</em> state champion, got here with a 65-56 win over <em>Portland</em>. In that game, <em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2950400' first='Tyrie' last='James']</strong></em> had 23 points, including 5 made threes; while <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2811965' first='Creighty' last='Dickson']</em></strong> scored 12 points and <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2818596' first='AJ' last='Moody']</em></strong> added 9. <em>Edward Little</em> (13-7) upset <em>Cheverus</em>, the <em>#1 seed</em>, by a score of 47-44 behind double digit scoring efforts from <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2546901' first='Diing' last='Maiwen']</em></strong> (14 points), <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2955171' first='Akol' last='Maiwen']</em></strong> (14 points), and <strong><em>Owen Galway</em></strong> (11 points). </p>

<p>In the <em>South</em>, <em>South Portland</em> and <em>Bonny Eagle</em> will square off for the regional championship. <em>South Portland</em> (15-5), the <em>#2 seed</em>, defeated <em>Scarborough</em> by a score of 63-45. <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2696707' first='Gabe' last='Jackson']</em></strong> led the way with 19 points, while <strong><em>Manny Hidalgo</em></strong> and <strong><em>Darius Johnson</em></strong> contributed 15 and 14 points, respectively. <em>Bonny Eagle</em> (9-11) upset top seeded <em>Thornton Academy</em>, 47-41. They were led by <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2811963' first='Brody' last='Taylor']</em></strong> who had a double-double, finishing with 23 points; <em><strong>Colin Moran</strong></em> had 9 points of his own in the win.</p>

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">Class A</span></strong></p>

<p>In the <em>North</em>, the bracket held true, as <em>Messalonskee</em> and <em>Hampden Academy</em> are the two teams still standing. <em>Messalonskee</em> (18-2) withstood 36 points from <em>[player_tooltip player_id='2870617' first='Camden' last='Hill']'s</em> <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2696676' first='Nolan' last='Ames']</em></strong> to win 63-61. <strong><em>Ty Bernier</em></strong> had 22 points, while <strong><em>Parker Reynolds</em></strong> (14 points) and <strong><em>Ryan Parent</em></strong> (12 points) also finished in double figures. The <em>#2 seed</em>, <em>Hampden Academy</em> (16-4) advanced with a 52-44 win over <em>Brewer</em>. They were led by <strong><em>Aidan Kochendoerfer's</em></strong> 19 points, getting additional contributions from <strong><em>Sawyer Worcester</em></strong> (12 points) and <strong><em>Miles Shain</em></strong> (10 points).</p>

<p>In the <em>South</em>, seedings also held up, as <em>Noble</em> and <em>Falmouth</em> are set to match up in their regional final. <em>Noble</em> (18-2), the <em>top seed</em> in the region, advanced to the final with a 66-57 victory over <em>Kennebunk</em>. They were paced by their dynamic duo of <strong><em>Bryce Guitard</em></strong> (22 points) and <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2325850' first='Jamier' last='Rose']</em></strong> (21 points), while also getting 17 points from <strong><em>Evan Ballard</em></strong>. <em>Falmouth</em> (17-3) set up the <em>#1</em> vs. <em>#2</em> match-up with their own victory over <em>Fryeburg Academy</em>. <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2811657' first='Davis' last='Mann']</em></strong> was phenomenal in the 63-36 victory, scoring 39 points, while <strong><em>Billy Birks</em></strong> added 12 of his own.</p>

<p>In the <em>North</em>, it'll be <em>Caribou</em> and <em>Orono</em>, rivals that will go toe to toe for the third time this season.</p>

<p><em>Caribou</em> (19-1), the <em>top seed</em> in the region, knocked off <em>Mt. Desert Island</em> by a score of 53-41. <em>Caribou</em> had three individuals finish in double figures, led by <strong><em>Kaymen Sargent's</em></strong> 16 points. <strong><em>Landen Belanger</em></strong> and <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2811759' first='Tristan' last='Robbins']</em></strong> both added 12 points of their own. <em>Orono</em> (14-6), the <em>#3 seed</em>, took care of <em>Old Town</em>, winning 54-51. <strong><em>Will Francis</em></strong> sparked <em>Orono</em> with a 24 point, 10 rebound double-double. </p>

<p>In the <em>South</em>, it's <em>Medomak Valley</em> and <em>York</em>, two of the state's last four undefeated teams. <em>Medomak Valley</em> (20-0), the <em>top seed</em> in the region, advanced with a 57-40 win over <em>Lincoln Academy</em>. <strong><em>Rocco DePatsy</em></strong> (18 points), <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2546922' first='Gabe' last='Lash']</em></strong> (17 points), and <strong><em>Kristian Schumann</em></strong> (11 points) all finished in double figures. <em>York</em> (20-0), an undefeated <em>#2 seed</em>, finished off <em>Spruce Mountain</em> by a score of 57-49. <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2696742' first='Reece' last='MacDonald']</em></strong> led the way with 24 points, while <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2693558' first='Lukas' last='Bouchard']</em></strong> and <strong><em>Lucas Ketchum</em></strong>, contributed 17 and 11 points, respectively.</p>

<p>In the <em>North</em>, <em>Mattanawcook Academy</em> faces off against <em>Madawaska</em>, two teams that have combined to go 39-1 this season. <em>Mattanawcook Academy</em> (20-0), the <em>#1 seed</em>, knocked off <em>Fort Kent</em> by a score of 83-51. <strong><em>Kooper McCarthy</em></strong>, <strong><em>Andrew Oliver</em></strong>, and <strong><em>True Weatherbee</em></strong> have all had strong tournaments for <em>Mattanawcook Academy</em>. <em>Madawaska </em>(19-1), the <em>#2 seed</em> in the north, got by <em>Calais</em>, winning 46-36. <em>Madawaska</em> is paced by brothers <strong><em>Quinn Pelletier</em></strong> and <strong><em>Brayden Pelletier</em></strong>, as well as big man <strong><em>Sam Thibeault</em></strong>.</p>

<p>In the <em>South</em>, it'll be <em>Mt. Abram</em> and <em>Monmouth Academy</em>, to decide who moves on to the state final. <em>Mt. Abram</em> (19-1) defeated <em>Hall-Dale</em> by a score of 61-59, to move on to the regional final. <strong><em>Killian Pillsbury </em></strong>had a big game with 26 points, while <strong><em>Brennan Mitchell</em></strong> added 15 and <strong><em>Reagan Lockaby</em></strong> had 10. <em>Monmouth Academy</em> (16-4) dispatched <em>Madison</em>, winning by the score of 51-21. <strong><em>Jacob Harmon</em></strong> had 17 points, <strong><em>Levi Laverdiere</em></strong> added 11 points, and <strong><em> Bingham Abbott</em></strong> had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.</p>

<p>In the <em>North</em>, it'll be the top two seeds, as <em>Schenck</em> faces <em>Katahdin</em>. <em>Schenck</em> (19-1), the <em>top seed</em> in the north, took care of <em>Bangor Christian</em>, winning their match-up by a score of 52-36. <strong><em>Brayden Osborne</em></strong> led the way for <em>Schenck</em> with 24 points, while <strong><em>Samuel Jacobs</em></strong> contributed 11 points of his own. <em>Katahdin</em> (17-3), the <em>#2 seed</em>, advanced to the next round with a 64-54 victory over <em>Central Aroostook</em>. They got balanced scoring across their lineup with <strong><em>Calvin Richardson</em></strong> scoring 23 points, <strong><em>Connor Edwards</em></strong> and <strong><em>Joshua Martin</em></strong> both adding 12, and <strong><em>Chandler Smith</em></strong> and <strong><em>Bryten Hartsgrove</em></strong> getting 9 and 8, respectively.</p>

<p>In the <em>South</em>, a trip to the state final is on the line as <em>#1 Valley</em> battles <em>#2 St. Dominic</em>. <em>Valley</em> (20-0) continued their undefeated season with a 64-40 win over <em>Buckfield</em>. <strong><em>Harry Louis</em></strong> was the game's high scorer with 27 points, while <strong><em>Fisher Tewksbury</em></strong> had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds and <strong><em>Kamdyn Conrad</em></strong> added 11 points and 7 rebounds. <em>St. Dominic</em> (19-1) advanced with a 47-28 victory over <em>Telstar</em>. <strong><em>Jack Brocke</em></strong> led the way with 15 points, while <strong><em>Taylor Varney</em></strong> added 12 and <strong><em>Isaac Yombe</em></strong> had 9.</p>
