We don't do a lot of single game reports here at Prep Hoops Indiana. Even though we attend a ton of games, we generally like to pool together information from all across the state in order to provide the most in-depth coverage possible. However, for two different reasons, we are rolling out an old-fashioned single game report for this one. First of all, there isn't much else going on this Wednesday evening. Secondly, this matchup is that big of a deal. Jeffersonville and New Albany are bitter rivals down along the Ohio River that also battle for supremacy in the Hoosier Hills Conference and Sectional 15. On Wednesday night, round one went convincingly to Jeffersonville.

New Albany was able to control the pace a bit more in the early going and the Red Devils struggled to finish around the basket. Even 6'8" forward [player_tooltip player_id='1388408' first='Tre' last='Singleton'] missed a couple of point blank shots for Jeffersonville out of the gate. However, [player_tooltip player_id='1297093' first='Michael' last='Cooper'] started to get hot in the final moments as he sparked a quick run to end the period with a pair of three-point shots that gave Jeffersonville a 16-11 advantage.

Then, Singleton started to take over. His size was too much for New Albany to handle inside and Cooper kept slicing his way to the basket off of the bounce as well. Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='2382148' first='Noah' last='Washington'] did his part for New Albany to try and keep pace, but the Red Devils took a 35-24 lead into the halftime locker room.

He was creating his own shot, creatively attacking the basket, and making some tough three-point shots off of the bounce. He capped off his 13-point period with a crazy step back three-point shot at the buzzer. It was 61-44 Jeffersonville after three quarters.

Jeffersonville, winners of seven straight, moved to 13-5 with the victory while New Albany fell to 14-3.
