Biggest Standouts:

[player_tooltip player_id='2467001' first='Zae' last='Williams'] (TL Hanna) - Zae was a standout for the Yellow Jackets in their region matchup over JL Mann, making plays at each end of the floor to help impact winning. Williams has very active hands and terrific instincts which help him force turnovers and tough shots on the defensive end. On the offense end, he handles the ball well in tight spaces, controls the pace of the game, finds his teammates in good positions to score, and can create his own basket. Zae finished with 15 Points, 10 Assists, and 7 Steals on Tuesday.

[player_tooltip player_id='1578642' first='Lucas' last='Wiersma'] (TL Hanna) - The two Wiersma brothers took turns dominating the paint against the Patriots, but it was Lucas who took over in the second half to help boost the Yellow Jackets. Although he did have some struggles finishing in the paint, he stayed active on the glass and used his mobility to keep defenses off balance. Lucas will battle for post position and do his work before getting the ball where he can finish over either shoulder. Wiersma put up 16 Points and 2 Blocks against JL Mann.

[player_tooltip player_id='2461008' first='D'ontez' last='Walker'] (JL Mann) - Dontez had a good showing for JL Mann despite having to battle through foul trouble for most of the game. He had 9 Points in the first quarter before picking up his 2nd with 3:02 left, then started out strong in the half until he got his 4th for hanging on the rim after a dunk. Walker dominated the paint when he was in the game, using his big frame to punish defenders in the paint. Dontez also has the ability to handle the ball and beat defenders to get good looks. He racked up 20 Points and 8 Rebounds in the loss.

[player_tooltip player_id='2367673' first='Sebi' last='Boyogueno'] (Riverside) - Boyogueno has been building an impressive Junior Campaign and Friday was just another in a long line of good games. Sebi dominated from the start, using his combination of size and strength to get paint touches where he could finish, earn trips to the free-throw line, or find open shooters. He has a knack for knowing how to navigate his body around or through traffic depending on the defensive look. Boyogueno also looked to crash the glass for second-chance points or push the pace after defensive boards. He put up game-highs in Points with 19 and Rebounds with 12 against Gaffney.

[player_tooltip player_id='2405570' first='Keyon' last='Knowles'] (Riverside) - Knowles was out when I saw the Warriors back in December, so I was eager to see both his progression and how the team looked with him on the floor. Keyon was terrific in the game, helping run a very successful offense in a comfortable region win. He excelled in dribble hand-off actions where he would turn the corner past defenders, set up shooters with space, or knockdown jump shots of his own. Knowles is extremely quick and shifty which he uses to create space off the dribble. He finished with 9 Points and 6 Assists in the win.

[player_tooltip player_id='2885526' first='Deylen' last='Whitaker'] (Gaffney) - Deylen bright spot for the Indians in their disappointing loss was. He put up a team-high 12 Points including 6 in the first quarter where he had lots of success scoring the ball in the paint. Whitaker is a strong driver who is tough in the paint and will crash the glass on both ends of the floor. He can also use his strength to back down a smaller matchup into the post or earn trips to the free-throw line.
