Andreas was all over the floor making plays for his team. He's an excellent rebounder who grabbed double-digit boards on both sides of the court. Andreas had an off shooting day, but the potential is there for him to be a dominant scorer in the paint. He displayed excellent footwork and athleticism that made guarding him a challenge for the opposition. On multiple occasions, he was able to find open teammates along the perimeter. These passes often lead to easy looks and conversions at the basket. Defensively, is where Andreas really shined! He's a great perimeter defender who also happens to protect the paint. There were times during Sunday's game where he needed to step out the paint and guard on the wing. He forced numerous turnovers with his quick hands while staying locked on the offensive player. The opposing team had a difficult time attacking the basket due to his shot-blocking ability. Andreas turned back a number of players who drove into the lane with authority. I believe this young man has the potential to be a special player in the near future. As long as he continues to work on all facets of his game, the sky's the limit! Keep grinding Andreas!!

It was great to see Harrison play again! I watched him over the summer during AAU season and was thoroughly impressed. Well, from what I saw on Sunday; this young man is definitely worthy of a second Prep Hoops Next write-up. He continues to be a great floor leader who's capable of taking over a game if need be. Harrison was clearly the leader of his Hoops Geek squad during Sunday's game. He's an excellent ball handler who made plays for his teammates with pin-point passes around the basket or along the perimeter. Harrison excelled at breaking down defenders and getting into the paint where he either scored or assisted. His shot of choice was the floater. He used this shot over taller defenders with much success. Harrison has really improved his three point shooting compared to what I seen over the summer. He nailed four shots from beyond the arc in the game. On defense, he was a serious pest for opposing guards. Harrison had multiple steals by playing excellent on-ball defense and shooting passing lanes. This little guy is a star in the making! He's already an elite scoring guard who happens to be a great play-maker and floor leader. Harrison finished the game with (23 points, 4 assists, 4 steals). Keep it up Harrison!!

Dion is just being Dion! This will be my second write-up of this young man. I first saw Dion play at the Prep Hoops Next Middle School Camp in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was a dominant scorer who knocked down shots from all over the floor. In Sunday's game he showed the ability to be more of a facilitator. He wasn't as aggressive as I knew he could be. Dion showed that he's improved his all-around game by making nice passes, rebounding and playing excellent defense. During the summer, this young man was un-guard-able on the court. On Sunday, he knocked down a couple of threes and scored in transition. in isolated situations, Dion easily blew-by his opponent and attacked the basket. As I said, this young man is a dynamic scorer who took a back seat to his teammate in regards to carrying the scoring load. Defensively, he plays a ball-hawking style of defense where he pressured opposing guards into turnovers. Dion has a bright future at the two guard spot. He'll transition flawlessly into high school basketball when the time comes. He finished the game with ( 7 points, 3 assists, 2 steals, 4 rebounds). Keep working Dion!!

A tough minded small forward who plays strong inside the paint. Whether it's scoring in the post or driving to the basket, Ke'Vonte makes it happen. He's a good ball handler who is capable of blowing by defenders and making plays for others. He was one of the best rebounders and hustle players on the floor. Ke'Vonte didn't mind going into the paint and fighting for boards among his opponents. Many of his offensive rebounds lead to easy put-backs or open looks for his teammates on the perimeter. He's a very athletic player who excelled at running the floor and scoring in transition. On numerous occasions Ke'Vonte was able to score through contact and convert three point play opportunities. On defense, he was able to force numerous turnovers by playing great on-ball defense and making scoring difficult for his opposition. Ke'Vonte has the all-around skills to be a great player at the high school level. This will come to fruition if he continues to enhance every facet of his game. Keep working Ke'Vonte!!

This is my second write-up of Kaden. I watched him play for his middle school team about a month ago. He continues to be an elite combo guard who can play both positions at a high level. He's a great ball handler who can facilitate and be a floor leader for any team he plays for. If Kaden needs to put the ball in the basket, he's proven it would be no issue for him. During the game, he was able to throw a number of flashy passes that lead to high percentage shots for his teammates. Kaden excelled at getting to the basket and knocking down shots from the perimeter. During Sunday's game he nailed three shots from beyond the arc. Kaden was able to break down opposing guards and get into the paint with ease. This often lead to uncontested lay-ups and open assists around the basket. On defense, this young man was a nuisance for the opposition. He constantly applied pressure by making ball handling difficult for the opposing guards. Kaden is already a great player at such a young age. With his continued growth, he could be a star in the near future. Keep it up Kaden!!

Edgar showed off his skills during Sunday's game. He often found open teammates around the basket for easy lay-ups. He's a decent ball handler who can create his own shot and make plays for others. On some occasions, Edgar was able to get inside the paint and grab rebounds. Most of his boards lead to positive plays for the EG-10 squad. On defense, Edgar gives maximum effort. He's not the quickest person, but he showed the grit and determination needed to get the job done. If he continues to enhance his game, Edgar will have a successful basketball future. On numerous occasions, DJ was able to use a variety of drop-steps and pump-fakes to free himself for open looks at the basket. Some were made, some were missed. What I noticed most about this young man is his shooting touch from the free throw line. He has excellent form and ball rotation to his shot. DJ knocked down a couple of crucial free throws in the closing moments of the game. These shots forced overtime against there opponents. Defensively, he excelled at protecting the paint and making scoring difficult for the opposition. DJ showed off his athleticism by blocking multiple shots and running the floor in transition.
