Largo Vs. South Lakes was by far the most anticipated matchup of not only the day but of the year. It featured two Michigan state Commits, Cam Ward and [player_tooltip player_id='1410534' first='Jordan' last='Scott'], and this game did not disappoint. Cam Ward got the better of this matchup today and was great from start to finish. Cam dominated the glass on offense and had some great plays down the stretch to give Largo a 1 point win. Cam did a great job getting to the rim and finished a few and 1s. He lived at the line and finished with 25 points and 10 rebounds.

Alec Saunders is an underrated piece for this South Lakes team, and he had a nice game for them. Alec is a great defender, and he has fantastic hands to force steals. He does a good job not letting the ball stick to his hands for too long, and he is a very good athlete. He attacks the rim well and does well cutting without the ball. Alec finished with 15 points.

Both Largo guards were impressive today, but [player_tooltip player_id='2453724' first='Jalen' last='Johnson'] stood out to me a little more. [player_tooltip player_id='2453724' first='Jalen' last='Johnson']'s quickness and finishing ability caught my eye. He finishes from tough angles and does a great job playing through contact. He finished with 15.

[player_tooltip player_id='1410534' first='Jordan' last='Scott'] missed a few shots that you usually see go down for him today, but I still think he lived up to the billing in the matchup. Jordan still knocked down a couple of threes, and I felt like he was terrific on the defensive end. He had some nice plays down the stretch of this game and finished with 19 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1782654' first='Ashton' last='Meeks'] might have had the performance of the day for the home school DeMatha. Ashton got started early and was efficiency personified. DeMatha had a big lead at halftime and controlled this game throughout. Ashton hit a few mid-range jump shots, some floaters, and finishes at the rim. Ashton finished with 26 points on 10/11 shooting.

I always enjoy watching [player_tooltip player_id='2620491' first='Diego' last='Joy'], and he had a nice day for Jackson Reed. Diego is a smooth scorer and gets it done on all three levels. Diego had a big second half, and he finished with an efficient 21 points.

Highland was down big early against St. John's, but they fought back to make this game competitive late. St. John's did a pretty good job against Nate overall, but he still showed flashes of why he's one of the best players in the country. Nate knocked down a few threes and was his usual self battling on the glass. He finished with 23 points and 8 rebounds.
