<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Mon: Clinton (2-7) vs. Lakewood (6-1)</h4>

<p>Lakewood High has a stud of a freshman prospect in [player_tooltip player_id='2743619' first='Xavier' last='Hall']. He's averaging a double-double with 13.4 points, 15.4 rebounds and a whopping 7.0 blocks per game in quite the start on the varsity stage. </p>

<p>The Gators are already 3-0 in Southeast Wake Athletic Conference action and an early victory over Holly Springs and Will James could put them over the top for favorites as regular season champions, even though Apex Friendship still lurks. The Golden Hawks are 2-1 in conference play with a loss already to Apex Friendship. </p>

<p>The 2A East Central Conference is gearing up to be an exciting one as Kinston and Southwest Onslow square off, both at 1-0 in the conference standings. Malekhi Hutchinson has been a name to know with the Jaguars as he's producing 19.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. He'll look to hold court against [player_tooltip player_id='1797959' first='Keyshawn' last='Herring'] and scrappy Kinston squad. </p>

<p>Don't let Seaforth's record fool you as the crosstown rivalry game between Northwood and the Hawks is always a spirited battle. He'll look to be a spark in a hostile environment on Friday night.</p>
